Finally I managed to go 100% raw low fat vegan. I can say that I felt lighter and had more energy. It was a 40 degree day and I cycled from the city and went for a swim in the river as a reward.
Emotionally I felt more stable today, I didn't really crave any cooked food which is great. I am looking forward to positive results from this diet. Stay tuned for day 2.
Chris R. said… 50 ml, ... wow, ok ... that's about 190 times the dosage I'm taking, hehe. I thought my 50mg was mega-dosing but you're up to about 9.5 grams. I didn't know you could take that much. I can now see why you were experiencing those symptoms. I may up my dose to 18 drops (just under 2/3 of a dropper full) in divided doses, but am hesitant to do more. I'll have to read up more on that. Thanks for the feedback.

Chris R. said… Hey Patryc, ... so since October (about 4 months now). Am I correct to assume it's the 6 month iodine loading protocol using about 50mg of iodine then tapering off to 12mg after that for maintenance? What's your protocol? I actually started last March but dropped it after about 3 weeks. First week gave intense headaches which I combatted using the salt solution (supposedly it's bromine being flushed from the thyroid that causes headaches). Anyway I started up again a month ago and went straight to 8 drops a day (4 drops morning / 4 drops night) and from the beginning I had no symptoms at all. Was curious if you know if we're supposed to take all 8 drops at once or if they can be divided during the day? It's also important to supplement with selenium and C (not at the same time or the C will affect the iodine).
Regarding heavy metal detox, I'm doing the chlorella with cilantro (coriander) protocol by making a cilantro pesto (10g of cilantro per serving) and having that about half hour after taking the chlorella. Cilantro is supposed to bind to heavy metals in the system and carry them out to the intestines where the chlorella finally carries them out from there. But I also heard chlorella on its own can be effective, but just a slower process?? I'm at the end of the 3 weeks now and to be honest haven't noticed any noticeable changes in how I feel, though I wasn't experiencing any particular bad symptoms before either. I also just had the last of my amalgams removed this past summer (dentist didn't seem to follow any specific safety measures) but I felt no ill effects. Milk Thistle is a great idea,.... I guess anything that can support the liver and kidneys during such protocols is welcomed. Last note, during the heavy metal detox it seems important to supplement with minerals as they are often lost during the process. I can assume 8/1/1 may provide enough but I'm not sure.
