Our community would be delighted to know you better. Please tell us more about yourself and what brought you to 30BaD. Detailed responses will only be accepted (feel free to reapply with more detail if at first not approved as a member). We suggest you pick a name other than your own if you want to maintain anonymity.: Im 20 years Old and the start of 2012 i made a conscious decision to become vegan. I wanted to change the Chronic health issues i was beggining to get from eating a normal paleo diet. After physician, to gp, to chinese acupuncturists, to more doctors reccommending a high protein, low carbohydrate diet to me for my insulin resistance, and eating lots of meat at night, preferably steak 3 times a week, and since i was vegetarian for 7 years and grew up with both my parents being vegetarian , it was totally different from what i was use to .. and i kept getting sicker and sicker, low energy, hormonal issues, acne problems, i put on weight which fluctuated up and down because after all the stress my body was being put through. I ended up breaking down, Not understanding why i was feeling so s***! I became anorexic and bulimic, severely depressed, my mood swings and so called "bipolar" were out of control ! 2012 , "im making the change" , vegan for 5 months now and ALL my health problems have almost fully cleared up ! I am full of energy all the time , I am happy all the time, my thinking and mind is clearer, my perception on life is clearer etc.. and now i want to become completely 80/10/10 get rid of the cooked food which still causes me to bloat and start eating carbs to get leaner ! :D Looking for a lovely community who i can get support for my goals xx
