Hi again Nick. I was consuming standard bananas mostly until i ate organic yesterday and i felt considerably better for eating organic, they didn't taste as watery when i ate them and was satisfied a lot sooner. I had a rush of wellbeing a few hours after eating them so I think the extra for organic is well worth it. I bought 4 packets of organic bananas from waitrose this morning for £7.40, i took them out of the packet and weighed them and they came to 4.5kg in total as i was selecting the bigger packs ... this means if i had bought 4 times as much it would have cost me £29.60 for 18 kg which is not much more than you're paying... there is always 6 in each pack so the size of them would be if your box had 96 bananas in. Take care and thanks for the info
I know the shop in causeway head, my sister also works in Tesco's down there (the smaller one on Market Jew Street) so maybe I could wangle some of her staff discount. Interesting to hear about the place past Marazion that sells organic bananas at under £30/ box , how much does it work out per kilo? I mainly buy standard bananas (68p for 1kg) from Waitrose as theres a big price difference to organic (£1.85 for 900g average). I seen Tesco's online have bananas at £1.30 but it doesn't stipulate weight.
Awwww! Beach! I'm so jealous! I'm chowing down on my bananas I bought from the weekly market yesterday. Still getting used to the sheer bulk of fruit. Tastes so good though. Don't work too hard. :D B x
Hello Nick, Yes I am thank you! It's amazing here! I keep having to pinch myself and remember it's still only March! Perfect for fruit! And I bet you're right next to the sea too, aren't you? :D B x
