Anne of Green Gables, Avonlea, movies. Love Dr. Joel Fuhrman books and videos. Favorite pastimes were to draw, read, walk alone to gather my thoughts. None of which I seem to have time for with 4 children in which I home school.

Ok so I never did get strep like the husband and daughter.  So eating fresh fruits and veggies are totally working.  My throat got scratchy but never went further than that.  I am having one meltdown after the next.  I seem to love myself during the day and hate myself at the end of it.  I know that a person is supposed to fail and fall down but I really feel at war with myself.  Food and me.  What's good for me and what's not.  I am joining overeaters anonymous as well from an idea I…

Day 3

Today my husband and my middle daughter have strep throat.  We will see very soon if all the good I am doing to my body will allow me to not get it.  So far so good!  I gave my little girl a glass of water with a whole lemon squeezed into it since she refused to gargle salt water.  Lemons have such bacterial fighting qualities.  She said she liked it and will do the same today.  Going to try to get her to drink a green juice with me again later.  Today I am having yes again 1/4 WATERMELON. …

Day 2

Ok this morningI ate 1/4 watermelon and 3 bananas. I feel gr8 today!!!  Energy level is through the roof!!!! For lunch I ate more watermelon.  I have peed like a racehorse in the last 18 hours lololol.  For my afternoon snack I am going to have a tall glass of green juice and for dinner more raw cucumber salad. Day 1

I will try to blog everyday for update but I do have 4 kids so bear with me.  Yesterday was supposed to be day 1 with no cooked foods at all but I bombed at night.  =(  So here I am starting over.  I am having 1/4 of a large water melon for breakfast and a green smoothie if I can force that down after the watermelon.  No there is no if.  I WILL!!!  For lunch it is already made.  I have a large blackberry and strawberry salad and another 1/4 of a large watermelon.  Afternoon snack will be a…

What I recommend to my mentoring students is to start out with a fruit only smoothie in the morning.  Followed later with a green smoothie. Snacks being fruit or vegies during the afternoon with a big salad with blended vegies/fruits for dressing for a dinner meal.  Get your sleep! Drink your water.  Fats are our worst enemy, even raw fats.  No sodium and if you are on caffeine in any form taper off. 

 

You'll do great.  Don't beat yourself up hon.  We all falter and fail.  We are filled with chemicals that mess with us for a long time.  If you crave salt eat celery, tomatoes or greens.  The goal is a lb of greens per day.  If you crave sweets eat fruit.  This program wants us to EAT MORE.  And CARB UP.  lol
