Hi Mindaugas,

sorry for responding so late to your comment regarding Costa Rica. I can agree to much of what you said. I've been to CR a couple of times and it is getting harder and harder to find good places (but there are still some). And of course, many Americans down there ;-) Have you been to the Canary Islands? I'd love to hear more about it. I am pulled to places in the tropics or near tropics. And of course: I've seen The New We Movie. Very good ;-)

Thanks for your comment, Minduagas. I agree, some places in Costa Rica are very americanized. But I found others that are not so much influenced yet. Where in Costa Rica have you been?

I don't really consider Europe (I have seen "The New We") because this seems too organized and structured for me. Although the concepts are nice and obviously work for most Europeans, I am looking for a smaller community with a bit more personal freedom than what is available in Europe. I enjoy an easy and raw style of living without many of the amenities that seem to be required by most Europeans. The Canary Islands might work though. I have thought about it but have not looked into it yet. So thanks for the link to 8th life ;-)
