I have been a long-time health enthusiast. I learned about the raw vegan diet in 2007 and transitioned to it quickly. I am excited to take advantage of the fact that we have unprecedented access to an incredible array of fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds and superfoods all year around and therefore have the ability to truly optimize our health to a greater extent than has previously been possible in the history of mankind. I work in the investment management field; I am also a certified health coach (via IIN, the Institute for Integrative Nutrition).

I look forward to hearing about other people's experiences with this diet, sharing my own insights from time to time, and connecting with like-minded individuals.

Hi Martin, thanks for the comment and the question.  I'm doing better than I ever have in my life, frankly; thank you for asking.

Well, I don't mean that I'm thinner, younger, richer, taller, healthier...or any of that stuff...I mean that I have finally figured out a very complicated and controversial problem.  The same one that you appear to be working on right now....!

I have finally decided to get out of AA, OA, alanon and all the other 12-step programs--because those people will apparently never accept the simple truth!  they die from obesity-related, chronic, degenerative diseases!

I have finally decided that I have enough personal experience to do this thing on my own, if I have to.  (Today is 22 days at 100% LFRV, which is my lifetime best effort!  I've lost 7 lbs and I feel that, so long as I'm doing what I'm doing today, I will never have another food problem!)

I feel as though I have discovered the secret--and nobody wants to hear it!

How are you doing?  I see you are getting lots of advice from people who have all kinds of views and opinions.  In fact, I see you are talking to one person who is giving you some very bad advice--and she talks like she has all the answers!

This is a very difficult path to chart--because of all the brainwash and misinformation we get from the "for profit" mass media, the "for profit medical, dental and nutritional special interests!"   They are in business to make money--not teach us the simple truth.

If I can help you, please let me know.  I think I'm going to start my own 12-step discussion on My Page, in my blog.  Would you be interested in checking in every day to compare ideas?
