Noooo, never mind the talking but it would be nice to be handed a green smoothie in the morning as opposed to a cup of coffee ;)

First FAT in a loong time..

So tonight I am going to try out a simple salad with some AVOCADO :) I haven't had an overt fat in over two months.
I am not eating it because I am 'craving' it. I am merely trying some to see how my body reacts to it.
I am more than happy never eating an overt fat again in my life. They just don't really appeal to me.
Meh, but we shall see. Maybe I'll love it, maybe I'll hate it.

My cats are raw!

Finally, after many days of gentle persuasion, my cats have finally decided to eat the raw food I am offering. Well my 1.5yr kitty Oscar started happily eating it after 1 day. Coco Chanel on the other had took about a week.
Today I bought some kangaroo meat and she happily ate it all. For the past week I have been mixing her old stuff with the new and she would eat 'some' of it. I found a meat she likes!
This is huge. She is the fussiest cat I know. She has been eating the same old tinned stuff… Continue

Officially off the Island...30 days :)

Yep. Not because I was sick of bananas, but simply I ran out! My box hadn't ripened, I was craving tomatoes so I decided that I was going to start bringing back other foods into my life. For the entire time I have been on Banana Island I have been desiring rockmelon (cantaloupe) and a big salad. I had the salad last night and it wasn't at all what I expected! I chopped up a head of lettuce, spiraled some cucumber and blended tomatoes, 2 dates, 1 bell pepper and the juice of 1 lime for the dressi… Continue

Haven't 'blogged' in a while....

Because life has been just great :)

Today is day 25 of Banana Island, and I am feeling awesome. Just bananas and celery with the occasional addition of blended lettuce or spinach.
Calories have been averaging 2000-2500 a day depending on my activity levels.
I have been working out almost everyday (doing at least SOMETHING each day, even if that is just walking..)
I have been hitting the gym getting to spin classes 3 times a week and body pump 2-3 times a week and let me tell you, it feels SO FR… Continue

Day 11...cont

So after I had my dinner last night I basically went straight to bed at 7. My head was pounding so hard the noise from the tv and the light was making it worse. I fell asleep immediately.

Food and Water Intake

Throughout the afternoon I drank about 700mls..

3pm grapes = 172 calories

I tried to drink more but I was feeling so nauseated not long after drinking more water I drove on home and vomited on arrival..

6.30pm Bananas + Blueberries + Cos Lettuce - all blen… Continue

Hi Marianna,
Your 30 days on Banana Island just came to my attention.
I've been ripening bananas all week and intend to begin tomorrow, may I ask you a question?
You said in a comment to Kaylee that you also consumed celery, some spinach, and sometimes lettuce... Did you start with only bananas and then add those in? Or did you include them the entire time?
(Sorry if you feel you've answered this before, but I couldn't find this detail).
Your accomplishment is inspiring.
Thanks,
Chloe

haha sorry to ask so many questions, but how much celery do you think you ate a day and how many bananas?

Hi Marianna! What kind of greens did you blend with your bananas? I was thinking of doing bananas one week, bananas + celery the 2nd week, and then adding spinach in the third?

Hi Mariana!

I started Bikram classes last summer. I've had some skin issues over the years and a friend said that the sweating would really help me. -It does. My skin is much better when I'm taking classes. Also, ..I'm kind of off & on with yoga. I started doing classical hatha yoga in the mid 90's. So I knew most of the poses & had good flexibility. BUT- When I started running (in 2004) my hamstrings got really tight & when I started have some issues with my spine/back, things got even tighter. So at this point my upper back is hyper flexible & the lower back and hamstring are too tight (for my liking). -Ugh. I'm working through it now. I know it will eventually balance out. :)

How are you?

Xx..

Hi Marnianna

Thank you for your warm and welcoming comments. Your picture on the branches of a tree reminds me how important tree is in balancing life, as you are balancing yourself physically in the pic. Physical balance can result into mental balance; and vice versa. Tree is so rooted and firm; and yet, its branches flow though the winds. Thank you for your inspirational life-journey. We all are into learning and implmenting mode. You are far ahead in your correct though-process and posiive mind-set. I did lots of lawn-mosing, gardening, planting, weeding, biking, sun gazing during the weekend. How is the weather in Australia where you are living?

Love and Peace..Namaste..
Krishna
