Our community would be delighted to know you better. Please tell us more about yourself and what brought you to 30BaD. Detailed responses will only be accepted (feel free to reapply with more detail if at first not approved as a member). We suggest you pick a name other than your own if you want to maintain anonymity.: I love living a LFRV lifestyle. I came from a background of eating almost 1 lb of meat a day. Then I had the chance to attend a talk by Peter Singer, author of Animal Liberation, at my University. This inspired me to explore my thoughts on sentient beings. I realized that because we are able to comprehend our position at the top of the food chain, and are able to understand our role in the greater ecosystem, we also carry the moral responsibility to do what is right, both ethically and spiritually. This translates [in my view] to respecting our fellow sentient creatures and avoiding the creation and/or perpetuation of unnecessary suffering. I began my transition away from animal products last year and now I am completely LFRV. Many of my friends and coworkers think I'm bananas, and they wouldn't have it any other way :-)
