Yeah its really a trip - trapped in a cylinder thousands of feet over the ocean, when a sudden hissing comes through the vents and the plane is filled with a strange smell - and the flight attendents walk around with spray cans of something, opening…

Is that your dorm room? You have your own kitchen?? Totally awesome. I am so impressed that you maintain raw while living on campus. I live off campus, and its hard enough making sure I have enough food all day and being the sober one at parties.

Lindsay I mentioned the issue with your post getting shut down to free, harley, and B. They are working on coming to a proper balance with the censorship. I too was greatly disappointed with what had happened to your thread, and equally disappointed to see a few others get closed for unrightful reasons.

From my understanding it wasn't free nor dr that was modding the threads, but some other mods themselves. As mentioned they are gratefully working on a balance :D

gday lindsay, so was your yoga teacher wrong or right? :)

if i said 'the public toilet is to your left' and you said to your friend 'is harley wrong or right?' you reckon id take offense?

sounds like you and your yoga teacher need some more water, sleep and sugar. :)

sometimes we need to get some real problems in our life to get offended about.. :)

best wishes.

Hmm... Arizona doesn't have enough water for me :-) I like to consider places that are near water, even lakes or rivers. Ok Arizona does have one river... I also like parts of Mexico and central America. I've heard wonderful things about Thailand too but have never been there. I could teach English and live anywhere pretty much.

Southern California, most likely. Or out of the country? It's still in the air, but definitely has to be warmer in the winter.

Hi Lindsay - it seems we have more than Oregon in common! UO, Ecuadorian host moms who bring us cake, bike everywhere, Southern Oregon hometowns, want raw families someday (ok everyone wants that)... nice to meet you :-) I'm looking at warmer places to move to, within the next 6-9 months. Too cold here!

Dear Lindsay ♥
just a thought, but if you decide to eat imported fruit then maybe you could make a pledge to yourself that if you are going to do this then you could, in turn, do some positive things for the environment like planting trees or litter picking.
Almost like a kind of exchange. Just an idea.
You have to go with what feels the best for you ♥

Dear Lindsay ♥
thank you for your message.
I guess in an optimal world a fruit eater would be living where the fruit grows all year round.
To me this has the least negative environmental impact.
However, if we are not living where the fruit grows all year then we have to make a decision. Do we only want to eat local food or do we want quality fruit that may have come several miles.
When I started out on the fruit diet, in the winter, I very much relied on imported fruit. Much of which was Organic. I felt better about eating imported Organic fruit compared to eating chemical imported fruit.
Even though the Organic fruit had still had negative environmental impact due to being transported many miles, I felt that there would be at least somewhat offset by it being grown without chemicals.
There was still some environmental damage due to my food choices, which I needed to accept. But I weighed the damage up against my health and well-being eating imported fruit compared to having a lower level of health if I had just eaten local food. As I would have had to eat other foods rather than raw fruit.
In the end, I guess it comes down to personal choice and an acceptance that there are consequences to our dietary choices. My food choices in the winter would contribute to greenhouse gases and the chance of loss of animal life on the roads and in the skies if birds or animals or insects were killed by the trucks and aeroplanes transporting my food.

I often used to take the train south and spend a few of the colder months in Southern Europe where the fruit was available locally all year round.

It does feel more optimal eating local fruit and knowing many of the growers, but if I had to go back and live in England for a time in the winter, then I would, at this point in time, opt for organic imported fruit.
But I am aware of the consequences.

Dear Lindsay ♥ thank you for your comment.
In my own personal experience on Orange juice, my teeth actually feel stronger when I am on Orange juice.
I have had no problems with acidity as long as I use perfectly ripe Oranges.
Over the years I guess my Orange selection has improved, and so I find that I usually am able to select properly ripe Oranges.
Also, I try to use only Organic, local, or Biodynamic Oranges, they tend to be much more likely to be fully tree-ripened than chemically-grown Oranges. Conventionally grown Oranges are usually picked less than fully ripe and are sometimes even dyed to look ripe!
