Hi, I am a 33 year old SAHM , mother to 4 great kids ages 10,8,6, and 2. My hobbies are running and being a mom. ;) I have run 7 marathons and two 50k's and a 50 mile Ultra over the past 5 years and run 5-8 miles daily. I love feeling fit and having a ton of energy. Over the past 2 years I have been suffering with horrible bloating, gas and just having low energy. I cannot tolerate most grains at all- I have been trying to eat "primal" and "low carb" but I am finding it very hard... my energy is suffering and I just feel it is not the right way of eating for me. I am so exciting to learn all I can about raw and to learn how to live that way!

Hi Laura welcome

I agree with Hanni out of the 2 tools though download chronometer a lot better to use. good to monitor your intake a little just to see where your at. Also useful to get a cheap food scale to know the amount of food you are eating. To get enough cals dated are great, bananas and recently added sun dried figs (not as optimal as fresh but easy to hydrate and blend for a calorie dense meal and cheap where I buy them). Get use to making big smoothies of dateorade (like 300 grams to 500) (can mix celery for a great sports drink) or bananas (sometimes I have 15 nanners) if your busy you can take it with you get a large water bottle (40 ounces).

Once you get the diet down fairly well it is great but being a parent makes it hard because most are confused what todo with there kids. Finally got my boy off of milk and he is no longer bloated, or has rashes around his mouth and finally has clear breathing. My daughter as well finally breaths normal.

All the best

Hi Laura! I got to read your blog, thanks! It was interesting to read bout your transition. I looked at your sample day, and felt responsible to tell you that you calorie intake is drastically drastically low, super low. Also, your caloronutrient ratios carb/protein/fat, are very skewed. You are probably at 20-30% fat because your calories are so low. Try nutridiary.com or download cronometer to input your foods so you can monitor until you figure it all out. Good luck!
