Yes you need to eat more than 1000kcal! Its quite simple. I've seen you post that before. Raw food is not like toxic cook food. Cook food sticks to the body and is hard to metabolize, fruits and veggies do not. 2000calories may be more than you ate…

yeah, I was talking to my friend last night and I think it is really important why I eat this way.. Thanks for the advise!

Thank you so much. I think the reason why I didn't have more bananas are 1. I still try not to eat too much because I am afraid to gain weight or fat. and I thought 10 bananas should be enough. 2. there were not ripe bananas anymore. What I ate were…

eat more fresh fruit,it kills the cravings every time, stop undereating and fats and cooked food will not be so appealing. And remember to be a 'mindful' eater, stop yourself before you eat anything, and remind yourself why you eat this way, works for me…

Hi Kyoko, Lets examine that day of eating: 1st you had 5 oranges, this amounts to maybe 250 to 300 calories. Someone your size should be eating at least 500 to 600 calories per meal (if you eat 3 a day). This means you shortchanged your body by 30…

Hey Kyoko, I encourage you to examine yourself closely and lovingly. What did you think the cashews would do for you? After that, what did you think the cooked foods would do for you? What needs were you trying to get met? (feel free to answer thes…

Profile Information

I spend most of my time....
I am from Japan. I came to the United States 3 years ago to go to a college.
I love to sing, dance, talk, and smile! I am really friendly and active person. I sometimes like to be myself to be calm and think about my life by myself, too.
I became a vegetarians after coming here in the United states. It was 3 years ago when what I eat changed from traditional Japanese food to American "fast" food. I got sick manytimes my first year in the U.S. but oneday when I found vegetariarim in a website changed my life.
It was about vegetariarism including animal right, health, and environment. It was shocking to me how animals are killed and how much food and water are wasting wchich could go to hunger children. It was also shocking the fact that our body didn't need to eat animals.
Since then, I researched a lot and read many books to learn more about vegetariarism, veganism and health and environment. I became a vegan gradually as I felt my body was changing and now I am getting more interest to eat more raw food!
I like to share good food with my family, friends, and anyone who I like! (I like many people!) as well as cooking for them!
I also like to dance and sing. I started to dance hiphop 7 years ago and I performed in the concert studio, clubs in Japan. I did soul, rocking, some girls hiphop. I also did some Jazz, modern dance and contact improvisation, too. I also performed in the college concerts.
I also belong to gospel choir for 3 years. We have rehearsal every Sunday. Beautiful piano sounds always make me relax and harmoney we create give me energy and love.
Every friday, I cook vegan food for all campus to let more people about how vegan food are delicious!! I do this with Juwish friends!
I am living in international dorm on campus where many differnt people living from all over the world, such as German, India, Jamaica, China, France, Spain, Japan and so on. I have been working as a program cordinator there whcih help prople to do some international related fun events! I love diveristy.
Sometimes it is hard to be laid back all the time because of busy life. But I always wish that I can be nice to others and appreciate everything I have.

Is your goal to be a low fat raw vegan now or in the future? If not we invite u to continue browsing the forum until this is your goal...
I love fruits! Also I like to make some Asian taste raw food using soy source and miso. But I like simple stuff!
Connected already?
No Single
My favourite books,movies,authors are....
I like romance movie and happy ending movie.
My favorite movie is Marathon (Koren Movie), love actually and legally brond.
Durianrider & Freelee started this site to bring together low fat raw vegan lifestylists' across the Globe! Please be kind & respectful of eachother during forum interaction. What raw assistance do u need?
So I became to be a vegan and I now started to eat more raw food. But I am a college student and there is only one vegan who eat some of the raw foods on campus. My college is in small town and I don't have much access to meet raw vegans as well as accessing health stores atc..
But I would like to keep my vegan raw diet as much as I can and also I have strong desire to let more people about this diet for thier health on campus especially since my college is less considerable about health. So it would be very appreciating if I can meet more people, make friends and learn from them!

Hi Kyoko,
So sorry for taking such a long time in responding to your note...I hadn't been on here for ages.
I don't know if you have already been to Thailand, or are still planning on going?
I'm not of so much help though, as I was only on one island where an odd gourmet raw foodist resided..... Free, Harls and the whole bunch came over for some time too, which was very wonderful indeed - but they've all left by now. And I am in England now.

Anyhow, hope you are well n fruity.
Where are you located?
Love x

Hi Kyoko

Have you practised Pranayam (Deep Breathing) exercises? They are very powerful in invoking energy and as preventive measures against lots of illnesses of the future as well as eradicating curretn ailments, if any. I have not travelled more than 80 miles one way this summer; and lucky you, you are travelling everywhere, not only different states, east and west, but also, different continents. Vow! You should make the most of the time, as this time would never come back. This would also be the time to have nice and loving conversations with your beloved mom; and in the porcess, both of you can learn from each other. You can imbibe her wisdom of all her years, and she can hear about your latest research into raw food and nutrition. I am sure she would be so proud of you for all research that you are doing at the cost and sacrifice of this beautiful summer.

When will you go back to Japan? Do you miss it over here? Do you have many Japanese friends in the campus too? I sure would love to talk about Yoga and meditation later. If you have any question in particular or any concerns about Yoga, meditation, laternate science, let it be rolled out. It is so nice talking to you really.

Love and Light..

Hi Kyoko

Pennsylvania, Seattle, Portland, Santa Barbara, Washington DC, Germany, Poland, Japan...oh my gosh! vow! You are travelling like a race...it may take the entire lifetime for so many, and you are achieving all these in just three years...you are so lucky, Kyoko. Your summer fellowship subject is fascinating. You must be learning a lot, getting inspired and in the process, inspiring hundreds of fellow-students by setting your own example. I wish you all the best in your research paper presentation. I am so positive that you would shine the best out of all fellow-researchers.

I am into accounting, tax and finance, and consulting businesses in these areas. I spend my days in Yoga, meditation, prayers, talking with parents, working in finance and tax areas, gardening, cycling and deep breathing.

Do you have relatives in Japan? It would be great to travel internationally with your mom. I am sure she also must be as health-conscious as yourself. Food industries manipulate and market processed foods and tempt us into eating all the junk which has direct correlation with diseases and disorders.

I am so happy hearing from you. Wish you the best in all that you do.

Thank you for enlightenment, Kyoto. Words and their meanings are so powerful and profound. We can learn so much from eastern cultures and traditions. Are you having summer vacation right now? How do you spend your day in general?

Hi Kyoko

Will you please tell me general philosophy or theme behind Japanese names? Are they majorly based on nature, beauty, art, etc? Or, if you can let me know some of common names and meanings, that would be great too. Your first and last name has beautiful meanings. Does Yamashita and Yamaguchi mean the same? I have heard of Yamaguchi. Celebrity name. Had never heard of Yamashita.

Did you learn singing on your own in Japan? How often do you go to Japan? Have you been there since being in this country? I truly admire people like you having musical talents.

Love

Hi Kyoko

Thank you for adding me. I love your pictures influenced by great and rich Japanese art, culture and history. I am so pleased that you are spreading the gems of Japanese culture in this country, while accepting and encouraging diversity at the same time. You have many musical talents. So great!! What's the meaning of your name?

Love and Peace..
