Surprise!

It's been a while since I posted anything new.  I'm still doing great.  I have a couple of things that I wanted to share.  Number one, many of you that have read my blogs know about my 11 year old with Cystic Fibrosis who went vegan (mostly raw) against her doctors wishes.  Well, she has not been sick one time in a long while!  This is great because last year she missed half of the school year sick.  Anyway, the doctors found her mutated gene and it was supposed to be benign, which means she…See More

I was lost but now I'm found!!

It's been several months since I last posted anything, and to say a lot has happened would be an understatment!  I'll start with the best:  In July, my husband and I ran the San Francisco marathon, just as we planned.  I did it raw vegan style, as opposed to the Oakland Running festival back in March where I was only vegetarian.  What happened?  I shaved of 51 minutes from my finish time from a 5:17 to a 4:26!  Immediately (the next day) my family moved from San Francisco to Georgia because my…See More

3 Weeks, 2 days HCRV

So...now I'm up to 3 weeks being 100% raw!  I'm starting to notice some wonderful changes.  My digestion is still PERFECT!  For me, this is great (I suffer from IBS).  I went from having a BM maybe 3 times a week to at least once a day!!!  My face is looking more vibrant than before, and my runs are getting faster.  I was eating around 1500 calories a day, now I am able to hold 2000.  Not there yet, but getting there.  I can honestly say I have not craved cooked foods at all.  There are…See More

I am a proud army wife, and mother to 4 daughters. I am a stay-at-home mom, and college student. My biggest hobby is running. Although I have been running for about 8 years, I have just honesty classified myself as a runner. I just ran my first marathon, and am set to run the San Francisco marathon in July. I am very excited that my training has gotten me this far. I was not always "fit". About 14 years ago, I weighed 210 pounds, and for health reasons mostly, I decided to become a vegetarian over 8 years ago. I did lose weight, and was able to throw away my blood pressure medicines, but it wasn't enough. I still had problems with my digestive track, my monthly cycle, acne, and others. Especially this last year, I have had a desire to improve my health even more. My husband and I are both "health nuts". He is in Korea right now, and he is the one who turned me on to 30BAD, and I am so glad that he did. I have been experimenting with the HCRV lifestlye for about 2 months now. I purchased the 80/10/10 book (which my husband has in Korea, reading), and I have just finished reading Freelee's book (which I loved and found very helpful). I also started using cronometer. As of this week, I have decided that I am going to fully commit to the HCRV lifestlye. I have already noticed positive changes in my health, especially digestive health.

Durianrider & Freelee started this site to bring together high carb, raw vegan lifestylists' across the Globe! 30bad is a high standard and high performance team! We're here to help you make our team! Let us know what HCRV assistance do you need?
Reading other experiences help me a great deal. I need to know things like which foods mix well, other than the obvious, which foods are 'raw', what products are actually vegan, and fun recipes to add to my diet, like the datorade from the book, and more.
30bad is a HCRV (high carb, raw vegan) internet community which promotes a high carb raw lifestyle free of any animal products. Our forum does not tolerate encouragement of anything contrary to HCRV. Nor do we allow endorsement of non-vegan items or practises which involve the imprisonment, exploitation, abuse or murder of sentient beings. My first week of being 100% HCRV

Posted on May 14, 2012 at 10:35am 5 Comments

So, this is my first complete week of being 100% HCRV, and I have to say, that I've done pretty well.  I haven't had any cravings for cooked food, but I have had cravings for something other than sweet fruit.  So, instead of fruit, I ate vegetables.  Fortunately this worked.  I've been using cronometer, and wow, you have to eat ALOT!  This is where I am having my problems.  The most calories I have gotten in any given day is 1700, followed by 1500, and then on other days, averaging 1200.  I…
