"I know this is an old post, but I recently experienced an odd recurrence of tonsil stones after shifting my vegan oil-free and mostly raw diet to 80/10/10, so I thought I would jump in with some information I've discovered.

I read the 80/10/10 diet in June of this year, 2017. Though I've been an athletic vegan for 10 years and oil-free for nearly 5 years, I still struggled to lose excess fat. I consider myself a great experiment, so after reading Dr. Graham's book, I began practicing 811 and tracking everything I eat and all of my activities on Cron-o-Meter. Since my start date, June 15, I have made it beyond my weight loss goal, and I have stopped craving desserts after every meal (because, let's face it, eating fruit all day is the best way to indulge a sweet tooth!). Now, however, my weight loss has plateaued, and I have experienced a few interesting biological changes including tonsil stones. I found this forum while doing a general search relating tonsil stones to banana consumption. I love bananas and eat several a day, but I do find they are mucus forming, and I wondered if anyone else practicing 811 experienced tonsil stones as a result. Also, I am curious what solutions people may offer.
