I am a full-time athlete at the USA Olympic Training Center in Colorado. I train over 35 hours a week in the sport of Modern Pentathlon and currently ranked #1 in the US. As a result eat a lot of fruit! After living in Cali and having fresh local fruits all year it's hard to readjust to imported bananas and other not so fresh or ripe looking fruit, but the opportunity to train here and work towards a future Olympic games is amazing.

My wife and I have been Veg for over 20 years each and started doing "the raw thing" 8 years ago. As athletes our performances have only improved and it's hard to believe more people don't live like this. We are the proud parents of little girl who we delivered ourselves, and has been as healthy and big as can be!

In the past I've made my living as a bassoonists in orchestras, massage therapy, track & XC coach, preschool teacher, bicycle courier and more.

Durianrider & Freelee started this site to bring together high carb, raw vegan lifestylists' across the Globe! 30bad is a high standard and high performance team! We're here to help you make our team! Let us know what HCRV assistance do you need?
The more I know, the more I know I don't know. Every time I meet, speak, or read something from another person I learn. I especially love doing so from healthy energetic people!
30bad is a HCRV (high carb, raw vegan) internet community which promotes a high carb raw lifestyle free of any animal products. Our forum does not tolerate encouragement of anything contrary to HCRV. Nor do we allow endorsement of non-vegan items or practises which involve the imprisonment, exploitation, abuse or murder of sentient beings. We also require our members to post with proper netiquette. Therefore, please indicate your intention:
I will comply despite some disagreement since I am a team player

Justin! I miss you too man. I get pretty lonely around Sebastopol now. I was thinking I would come in December or January when I'm jonesin for a good winter farmers market.

I see you're recently engaged. Congrats. If there's a wedding planned let me know when and where and I'd love to be there.

"Training with heart rate zones as a guide can be great. However, anything correlating age with any kind of ideal heart rate zones is junk.  It is nothing more than a guess based on averages. 2 athletes of the same age and fitness can be in the…"

"Joanna, If you run early mornings consider just drinking a little water and heading straight out the door without eating.  To me it feels great running on an empty stomach and breakfast tastes that much better. I personally feel comfortable…"

Justin commented on Ann Gunn's group The Runners
"Joanna, Good for you training for a 1/2 and a full marathon.  How long are your long runs now?  Honestly, unless you are going 2+ hours or it's extremely hot where you are I'd recommend keeping it simple.  In terms…"

Justin replied to Pacificus's discussion Vegan violin bow in the group low-fat musicians
"My 2 cents on both your violin bow and veganism in general.  These thoughts evolved over 20 years as a musician and veg. I do understand that to label oneself vegan is to exclude the consumption of and use of any animals or products.…"

Justin replied to Hannah Day's discussion HELP! HAS ANYONE EVER FOUND A SOLUTION TO FIG MOUTH???

Justin replied to Chanda Esparza's discussion How do you breathe? in the group The Runners
