Cheers to a New Me!

I first signed up with 30 Banana's a Day around June, at which point I was in full swing to begin my HCRV journey. I was able to eat mostly raw, but had the occassional cooked meal, which turned into a long lasting endeavor. Since that time I have been one and off HCRV, I've snuck in a few bites of meat as well (which just made me feel like…See More

I have been having kidney pains for over 4 years now and have gained almost 50 lbs in the last 5 years. I have bloating problems and feel exhausted all the time so I wanted a change. I first came across Freelee's RawFitBitch video blogs on youtube and instantly fell in love with the idea of becoming a raw vegan to make my self healthier. I am new to the raw vegan world and am joining 30 bananas a day to gain a better knowledge and understanding of this new lifestyle.

Hey Jayme! I'm glad that your Day 1 was a success, how about Day 2? I am doing well on some days of the challenge, but on others I break and eat unhealthy (though still vegan) stuff. Based on my previous attempts to go raw and low fat, I'm starting to feel more like it'll be a journey for me of gradually cutting back on the things I crave (like chocolate and nut butters) rather than cutting them out cold tofu. ;) Still, the 30 Day challenge can give me a jump start, even if I don't stick to it as well as I should. What counts is moving in the right direction, I guess. Take care!
