Long term vegetarian since getting my parents to 'fess up about meat when i was around 5 year old - 35 years ago!! Vegan for ethical reasons too - but really struggle with the high fat approach. Saw Forks over Knives, found your website and just got hold of my 80/10/10 book! Very excited as the small amount of what I've read makes huge sense and I used to naturally eat mostly fruit when i was younger and much slimmer. I just though I needed extra protein and oil, but its really not helped me at all. Ready to explore this totally intelligent approach and would love to find out more through your community please.

Any general advice would be great thanks! Just got the 80/10/10 book and started reading it. Advice re best form of fats and protein and the quantities of food in all groups. Just found an organic, wholesale fruit and veg supplier - so very excited!

For 5 weeks I dramatically increased the number of miles I ran, while maintaining the same diet, to see how that would effect weight loss. The common view is that it's battle of calories in vs. calories burnt. is it?
