After almost a year hiatus from the raw diet, I'm back at it.  Thank the fruit flies for Freelee's Banana Girl challenge which struck an interest in my wife who is now fully on board with the raw diet. Our fridge and kitchen are now full of cases of bananas, tangerines, mangos and strawberries.  I'm pumped!  Time to go eat another banana! See you on the other side of the compost heap.See More

Journey in to Training after turning RAW

Today is the first week-iversary of when I started training (ie: jogging/running).  I have been in a raw transition for a little over 2 months now, and I am eating raw 70% of the time.  I have set goals to increase how much raw I eat, and plan to be fruitarian in the very near future. The transition in to a raw diet has given me so much more energy throughout the day, that I needed to expend it somewhere.  I decided to train to finally get rid of the final fatty areas on my body (love handles,…See More

I have been vegan for 4 full years this passed June 2012. I have made the transition to Raw Vegan just under 2 months ago. My wife and I are averaging approximately 70% raw at this time, and we are still eating a lot of the gourmet raw dishes; however, we are striving to end up on the 80-10-10 diet within the next few months. My wife and I felt great when we turned vegan and became accustom to the foods; we feel 100x even better now that we are eating more raw. I can only imagine how we will feel once we reach the 80-10-10 diet with foods that are High Carb Low Fat Raw Vegan stage. One of our inspirations for becoming raw vegans was Durian Rider and watching his videos on YouTube. We then came across Freelea who also is a great inspiration. I have been able to befriend Freelee on Facebook; however, Durian is too bombarded with friend requests and mine has either gone unnoticed or he hasn't gotten to it yet (although my wife requested him after me and was accepted more than a month ago). It was on Freelea's Facebook page that I found this website. I hope to learn a lot more and get more inspiration from the members. I have also began to run to exercise and both Durian and Freelea have been inspirational on that front as well.

Please tell us about your dietary inclinations:
I really want to be LFRV and just need some guidance
Reading "The 80-10-10 Diet" by Dr Doug Graham is vital for succeeding on this lifestyle. Please acquire this book as soon as possible.
I will read the book
Are you Connected?
yes married
My favourite books/movies/authors/pastimes are....
Books: I don't read books much, but I frequent online blogs discussing veganism and environmental issues to learn new information and ways to help educate those who are uneducated and try to make a change.
Movies: Top Gun, Michael Jackson's This Is It, Avatar
Past Times: Vegan Cooking with my wife, bicycling, running, weight training
Durianrider & Freelee started this site to bring together high carb, raw vegan lifestylists' across the Globe! 30bad is a high standard and high performance team! We're here to help you make our team! Let us know what HCRV assistance do you need?
I require assistance regarding the quantity and types of foods one should seek out to eat. Is a LFRV diet only accomplished on mono-meals? If so, which fruits are best to do this with (in addition to bananas)? I have Dr. Douglas Graham's 80-10-10 book that I will be reading once I finish The China Study by Dr. T. Colin Cambell, PhD.
30bad is a HCRV (high carb, raw vegan) internet community which promotes a high carb raw lifestyle free of any animal products. Our forum does not tolerate encouragement of anything contrary to HCRV. Nor do we allow endorsement of non-vegan items or practises which involve the imprisonment, exploitation, abuse or murder of sentient beings. We also require our members to post with proper netiquette. Therefore, please indicate your intention:
I will comply because I like totally agree with all this
