Running Raw

Hi AllI am thrilled to say that I managed to stay completely raw for my marathon training and it made a huge difference. My first marathon  was in Rome in March this year (I hadn't done very much running at all before starting to train for it, in fact I had to first get up to being able to run 30 mins before starting the training schedule) and I completed it in 5 hours 58 mins. I was mostly raw but toward the end of the training I just couldn't seem to eat enough so ended up having some cooked…See More

I've really enjoyed reading the posts - no-nonsense, funny and not trying to sell ANYTHING!!
I was raw for a couple of years (no I know it was high fat which is why I didn't thrive on it) couldn't cope with the cold UK winter and ended up eating cooked again.
Now back on raw 811 for almost 4 months.
Feel great but some days (I like to think its because I am detoxing) I feel like I need to eat cooked food and then I read the post on this site and ..... I feel great again!!
Thanks to all who contribute. (I particularly love the "you know you are 811 when..." thread at the moment.

Any one in UK live in Midlands?

Posted on November 29, 2010 at 8:42pm 0 Comments

Hi I have been thinking how nice it would be to meet up with other 811people and be able to just enjoy each others company without having to explain why I only eat fruit and salad etc!! Then this morning I saw someone had written something similar on another forum so I thought I would add it to this one.

So.... if you are loving your fruit and salad and live around the midlands, UK (I live in Bromsgrove) I would love to hear from you and maybe meet up.

Can't recall if we drove through part of Wiltshire or not. So much lovely countryside. I am also very into bananas--some to eat and some in the smoothie--not sure if I'm getting enough calories, even so. I just try to stay tuned within. all blessings!
