Trying to go Raw

Hi, I've been lurking about a year and a half.  I've been trying to go fully raw the whole time, but haven't gotten there yet.  I have very bad digestive troubles and have found they go away when I do raw, though I keep slipping back onto the cooked food.  My husband is Starch solution all the way and I've been able to do RT4, but my stomach just won't tolerate the cooked anymore.  My husband's meeting me halfway and doing RT4 while I do raw, but I swear, when he makes dinner I go crazy.  Last…See More

Whole Food Vegan Diet for Dog

Does anyone have any good links or resources or experience with feeding their pet a whole food vegan diet?  Where I live in Mexico there are no prepackaged vegan pet foods, but I have access to lots of fresh fruit and veggies and whole grains.  I want to make sure my girl gets enough calories and no idea how to customize to suit her nutritional requirements. Any ideas, thanks. I have a black lab.See More

Vegan Pets -Not just dogs and cats

A group for discussing, explaining and promoting vegan pet food. For a vegan world it is absolutely imperative to transition our companion animals to a cruelty free diet. Why should a cow grow up suffering and dying miserably for the sake of a companion animal? Why should the oceans be trawled and killed for fluffy? There can be no justification for this behavior, the consequences are real and the suffering is real.If you scroll to the bottom of this page, or click the below links, you will find…See More

Hi, I just wanted to update my profile for this year, discussing more of the vegan HCLF lifestyle and my journey on it. Through some spiritual soul-searching I found myself going over to the ethical side of veganism more than the nutrition, but I still like feeling healthy and eating whole, real, simple foods like rice, mangoes, berries, etc. I currently live outside the US with my two children, two dogs, and my husband, who is also HCLF. We travel a lot, eat a lot, and try to live a lot. My favorite exercises are yoga and boxing, and adding meditation into my life last year changed my life. Feeling better and more clear on a more complete spiritual/health/ethics based approach to veganism. Thanks to everyone posting and keeping this info out there.

Hey. Just read your profile. Really was looking for somebody in key largo because am coming for a few days there next week and want to know a good market to good produce. Am 80 10 10 and have been 3 months now. Have been raw vegan on and off for probably 6 times in the last 12 years. Followed cousens for a while too. Feel for you and what you've been through. I had a pt who wouldn't train me unless I ate 100g a day of animal protein -- and he was recommended by a famous nutritionist in the area!!
