Fruit sugar - Life energy flowing in our veins!

For the first time in my life, at 37 years of age, I had a Ha Ha!moment about fruits and their life giving powers. I think it is the very firsttime I also truly appreciate them for what they are. I was suffering from high blood sugar (at the levels of a Type 2Diabetic), often reading 150 mg/dl at morning fasting state and 200-300 mg/dlafter consuming dead foods and alcohol. Anyway, I was curious to see how I am doing now on the HC vegandiet. I took my blood sugar measurement 3 hours after 10…See More

No way Jose! Definitively confirmed again today that when you dare adventuring outside the fresh produce section in a grocery store, you are always at the mercy of all the poison dealers and their processed foods. I went to Whole Foods and I was curious to see what they had in their Vegan section. Sometimes it is good knowledge to have about potential good transitional products (like raw sweet potatoes chips dehydrated or other vegan friendly grain bars), especially when trying to help friends…See More

Hot Chile (Capsicum) & Intestinal Pain

My goal here is not to recommend eating this fruit or debating if the hot varietes are good for our health, even in their raw form. But it's just that I have observed a very interesting thing and I wanted to share it with you. I ate a couple of days ago, a hot variety called Hatch Chile (grown in Hatch, New Mexico) as they are in season now.  I just chopped them with all the seeds and put them on top of my salad (they were really hot, hotter than Jalapenos - makes you feel alive!). I did it on…See More

My New Wine Rack

This is like a reversed Jesus first miracle. I've changed my wine bottles into raw Italian water with raw bubbles ;)Oops, by mistake I've also captured some bananas ... they lay overwhere in the house :)

Detailed responses will only be accepted (feel free to reapply with more detail if at first not approved as a member). We suggest you pick a name other than your own if you want to maintain anonymity.
What brought me to 30BaD is a friend of mine at work that is fully living the lifestyle for 3 years now. We spent a lot of time talking about our experiences, our struggles to recover our health, and our up and downs with our toxicity from previous diets and destructive behaviors, but I am really convinced now that there is no other way to live our lives to the fullest than low fat vegan. I had joined him 2 years ago on a 100% raw food journey but I've deviated after 6 months and mostly I think due to the Gourmet Raw Food we were preparing (way too much fat). I've started again to regain my sanity and control over my depressed mind and overweight body by reading Dr. Graham, Dr. McDougall, and Dr. Furhman's books and I slowly became really aware of the destructive power of the fat. A month ago, I've decided to give 8-1-1 a try and my body gave me immediate and accurate positive feedback. Then I remember my friend talking about this community and last night I've watched some of the videos of DR and Freelee on YouTube and I was convinced on the spot!!!! WOW - That is the life I want for myself and my family, especially my 4 YO daughter: Life of Abundance, Lots of clean Energy, mental clarity and hapiness, global awareness with mother earth and our being! My wife and I decided to put aside the cooked vegan meals and started today on High Carbs LFRV. What a better way to kick it off this journey by joining this great community!

I am using CRON-o-meter, and definitively I will have to find ways to increase my intake of fruits. I did a 14 miles mountain bike ride this morning with my friend (it is a good challenge for my fitness level) and after eating 10 cups of watermelon, 2 cups of raspberries and 2 cups of blueberries, I am around 750Kcal !!! I will definitively need 30BaD !!! By joining this site, I think the assistance will be there by itself :)
30bad is a HCRV (high carb, raw vegan) internet community which promotes a high carb raw lifestyle free of any animal products. Our forum does not tolerate encouragement of anything contrary to HCRV. Nor do we allow endorsement of non-vegan items or practises which involve the imprisonment, exploitation, abuse or murder of sentient beings. Nothing new under the sun -

My wife was telling me a very interesting story about one of her uncles.

They were living in very small towns in Quebec, Canada where all the information we have today was not flooding in these pre-internet times. Around 30 years ago, he came to visit his sister. In his bag, he had a blender and was concocting everybody at the family reunion, some raw smoothies, and he was always taking the occasion to share all the benefits of his vegan lifestyle.

Yes he was…

Most junk eaters and even vegetarians when they see you eating more than 1 or 2 bananas, they are traumatized as their programming is so deeply wrong regarding food (eat animals, a lot of animal fats, drink yourself to death, take meds that modify your brain connection paths, it's okay!).

Immediately they are like: "Wow, 5 bananas, that is a lot, I eat one and I feel stuff !" - Well take note that I had 5 more just before you saw me and my digestive…

Thank you again :)

I only use an 'extended zoom' canon (SX130is) nothing fancy and definitely not a SLR ;)
I drowned 3 cameras last year and go to some 'interesting' places, so DSLR's would be unsuitable and too expensive

I enjoyed listening to ccr & mad world on your profile :)

Discus,

Thank you, If you lived here than you know that it can be isolating.  Although the area is getting better each year.  There is now a raw vegan restaurant in hull now. " La belle vert''.

sounds like I found the right place be.

Cheers,

Allan
