Over the Hump

When I first started on the vegan diet, and from there the raw diet, I was subject to unending and torturous cravings. This made everything quite hard. Now, after a few years, I feel I've made it over the hump. I was beginning to wonder if that was possible.I still get cravings -- but my food vocabulary is so different it's never for bad food. I've been eating this way for so long--and finding things I actually enjoy--that now when I get a craving, it's for something I actually CAN have. It's…See More

Apathy is a Mental Illness: The Addiction to Food

Posted on November 22, 2011 at 12:55am 5 Comments

It is common knowledge among all people that eating meat is arguably bad. And it is common knowledge that genetically engineered and/or cloned food is dominating the marketplace and they are recognized as indisputably unhealthy. But wait, if people know those things... why do the food mega-corporations make so much money still?

Apathy.

I know this from personal experience. I've known for a very long time about the corruption of common food, but only a few years ago did I begin…

Acclimatizing to the Optimal Way of Life

Posted on November 21, 2011 at 6:04am 3 Comments

A fruitarian diet can be hard to endure, especially in a rapidly urbanizing U.S. city-scape, where awful food is the side-effect of modernization and steadily bombards the populace 24/7 with temptation.

There are fruits of this lifestyle though, pun intended. I've noticed every day I'm at the college, there's always at least three people sick... and when they get over it, there's three more. I have a friend who says she gets sick every 2 weeks without…
