Anyone else find it hard to eat leafy greens now?

I second Freelea's and Ste's advice. You should focus on fruit. I know in the back of 80-10-10, it says ideally you should eat 2-6% of your calories from leafy greens, but turn to pg. 67, paragraph 3…

I'm completely confident I'm going 100% raw from now. Any supporters?

I'm done with cooked food. I feel terrible after eating it. Cooked food is high glycemic, it's highly imbalanced, it's toxic, it's poisonous. I've done with so much research now on it and realized the HORRIBLE effects that it has on my body, so I'm done with all cooked food.

I just want someone to witness that I'm going 100% raw and staying. So if anyone is here reading this, I just want you to have my word and witness that I'm going and STAYING now 100% raw. If you have the same co

Hi David, how are you? You are completely right about how it is necessary to just dedicate oneself and get through the cravings. I recently saw an interview w/ Dr. Graham, and he said that "if you really want it, success is the only option" (in committing to a 100% lfrv diet). I think the cravings affect my thinking process though, because for whatever reason, at the time that I fall off the wagon, I have already justified it in some way. I guess I have still been undecided about what I want... I want to eat 100% lfrv, but part of me is resisting. I know it is just the addicted part though. How is your journey going? Are the cravings easier to deal with after a while in your experience?

Thank you for accepting my request. I grew up on breakfast cereal also. Believe it or not there were years in my life that I actually ate cereal for almost every meal because my bodies reaction to gluten was to crave more of it!

I stumbled upon a comment you left in a thread concerning lfrv and depression. I too know realize uncontrollable spikes in blood sugar due to high GI cooked foods caused and fed my depression, anxiety, etc. It is great to know someone who puts more emphasis on the mental benefits of a lfrv than the physical (although these are ridiculously great too)!

Hey David, thanks for the support. I guess I just feel like I have been battling cravings. My body is totally ready to eat raw fruit and greens, but I feel like when I start to crave salty cooked food that it is hard for me to control myself and my mind. I think what it comes down to is that I do not want to feel that discomfort (cravings) and eventually I seem to do whatever it takes at that moment to make myself feel better. I have gone through this so many times, ever since about a year ago when I learned about 811. I have had times when things seemed to flow well for me, but have never made it past 12 days 100%. I feel my best when I'm 811 and want to get out of this rut of knowing what is best for me but not doing it. I hope you are still doing well. It inspires me that so many other people are succeeding on this diet and have found ways to deal with any emotional issues that come up. :)

Hi David, I'm so glad to hear that you have been doing well! I seem to be battling with my mind more and more these days, but I know that a LFRV diet is the right path for me. It is amazing how changing one's diet can lead to improvements in other areas of life! I just went to the store today and bought 7 young coconuts. I have been adding the coconut water to my smoothies (banana & strawberry) for some extra minerals! Yum. Well, I wish you all the best and hope that the journey gets easier and easier for us as we move forward!

Yes, let's keep checking in and keep each other on track! I think this sort of committment really helps keep us focused on the goal of eating 100% lfrv. Cheers!

Hey David, how are you? I have been doing very well since I committed to 100% lfrv 4 days ago (July 8th being the first day). I have been experiencing some detox, but it is amazing how much better I feel overall. I found that when I stopped "trying" so hard to be raw and just let myself be raw, it is so much easier. Also, it helped me to let go of the belief that 100% lfrv is difficult. Now I choose to just to think about it as the way I choose to live and it just seems to fall into place. How are you doing in respect to your 100% committment? I hope you are doing great! :)

Just wanted to tell ya that I fell off soooooo many times that I completely lost count haha, but eventually I'm here - living this incredibly fantastic lifestyle. Patience and gratitude are key for my success with staying on track. :) It's been about 4 months now. My new record haha. I love it.

Bless you,
Jasmin
