"When I want to accelerate the ripening process I place the bananas in paper bags, not plastic bags. Make sure all benches and surfaces are clean with no rotten fruit laying around as this is particularly attractive to fruit flies. "

One Full Day of All Fruit - The Journey Continues

Yesterday I ate only fruit. Drank lots of water, probably 2.5 liters. I know that my calories were not up to what they should have been. That's the toughest part so far. I ate approx. 1600 calories, and my main workout was here on the 3 acre farm doing chores.Last night, I ate watermelon, grapes & bananas. I think it was too late as I didn't sleep well for about 5 hours after eating. Just seemed like I had too much energy. Today, got up and had at least one liter of water, with lemon and a…See More

First I happened to see Freelee vid on youtube. This piqued my curiosity so I read up on banana contents. For a few days running I began with 4 bananas and a few ounces of spinach, kale & chard. Of course I preceded that with about a liter of water with lemon, cayenne, cinnamon and green powder. On both of those days I had chores to do on our 3 acre farm in Iowa. I was cutting and hauling low hanging tree branches on both days. Most of the trees are downhill from the house, so I had to haul them uphill to the area we used to store them. I noticed that my energy level did not wane. Now I'm ready to learn more. btw, the photo is not quite a year old. Although my chronological age is 65, I simply don't buy into all the crap that some folks in my age bracket use as a cop out. If it's not something that promotes at least my sense of well being, I have no room for it in my life. I must say that even though my beliefs are quite strong, I am not a "Follow Me or You're Stupid" Nazi. If people show interest, I am more than happy to share my beliefs.

Most recently books that I've read have been related to gathering info regarding health, foods, & supplementation. My fave thing to do is snow ski. I used to cycle quite a bit, but I no longer do that. The 3 acres here have plenty to keep me busy.

OK, been going as fruity as I can. I still am working with controlling  the PM Food Ogre. Finding that adding grips of veggies does help quite a bit, as the banana ripening process lags.

So went in for regular check up at docs the other day, and have dropped about 6#'s and BP is lower then it has been in a few years.

I feel nothing but good stuff, on the horizon, from continuing on this path. Now the only thing left to do is rid the world of grumpy people.   8•…

Ripening Bananas & Free Fruit Flies

Posted on September 30, 2012 at 3:51am 6 Comments

Hello. Been working on this for about 2 weeks. 1st question is, what is best way to ripen bananas? Having read that the bananas give of a gas while ripening, I have them in plastic bags. What I'm experiencing with that is they seem to ripen more slowly then being in the open air. Any help here greatly appreciated.

Next, the fruit flies. OMG! These buggers are taking over the place. I do contain them, somewhat, leaving plastic bottles with vinegar and a few drops of dish soap…
