I Have Fallen But I Can Get Up

I haven't been here in many months because I didn't want to whine about how hard it is to live this lifestyle when both of my parents have passed away and I stuffed my feelings with lots and lots of cooked food.

Instead of dealing with the devastating past traumas I stuffed it all down. Cooked food for me is an addiction.

Realizations

I have come across several realizations about myself. I say come across because I may come across it but never delve deeper into them. I fear so many things that are out of my control. Learning to let go is what I have been practicing lately. Sitting alone in the evening with a lit candle and closing my eyes and feeling that I am the light of the candle and that nothing can extinguish this flame but me.

One of the counselors turned me onto climbing. I was really into it, but the areas were all far from my house --- including the climbing gym.

Then one year in the paper there was an article about a climbing gym opening near me. As soon as it opened, i went there and got HOOOOOKED. Never looked back. I climb, train, and work in the climbing gym and then go climbing outside on the weekends. It's fantastic.
