Hey everyone! I'm 21, been raw and feeling great for the last couple of months!I'm from India. Will be moving abroad in about a year for my post grad but wondering if there are any of you from India,…Continue

A high carb ethical vegan artist and art student, presently in New York City with unrealistic dreams of changing the world for the better, one compassionate choice at a time.
Looking forward to connecting with other herbivores and give mutual support!

Durianrider & Freelee started this site to bring together high carb, raw vegan and vegan lifestylists' across the Globe! 30bad is a high standard and high performance team! We're here to help you make our team! Let us know what high fruit assistance do you need?
Just being a part of this forum would give me support. I think being a part of it would keep me informed on how close to nature we can take our lifestyle. I plan to move abroad soon, so I hope I can get to meet the people I make friends with on 30bad as well! I love your videos you both make!
30bad is a fruit-focused vegan internet community which promotes a high carb fruit based vegan lifestyle free of any animal products. Our forum does not tolerate encouragement of anything contrary to this. Nor do we allow endorsement of non-vegan items or practises which involve the imprisonment, exploitation, abuse or murder of sentient beings. We also require our members to post with proper netiquette. Therefore, please indicate your intention:
I will comply because I like totally agree with all this
"Fermented honey", then, perhaps - sweet and intoxicating. ^^ More seriously though, "Sweetness" is befitting someone adhering to a HCRV diet, and I can see how doing nothing but painting for two years in a row has earned you the moniker of "Colourdrenched". (:
I hope to some day be able to sort of take a year off, or take a year with reduced workload, so that I might spend most of my time working on my stories, perhaps while sometimes being under the influence some creatively stimulating drug (shh!), but I do think I'd still sleep a lot!
Due to a special interest in neurology and consciousness, I'm prompted to ask what might seem like a weird question: Have you ever sleepwalked, and, if so, have you ever painted (or engaged in other elaborate activities) whilst sleepwalking? (See this article for a sleepwalking artist.)
I'm not sure I see the likeness to van Gogh's work in the select few pieces you've shown, but I'm not much of a visual art nerd; Almost all I know about van Gogh is that he cut off one of his ears, and I hope you won't be doing that, no matter how interesting of a self-portrait that might make for!
Here's another exotic (well, to me, this and Indian-style music is exotic) piece of Glass', that is among my favorites. BTW, dunno if you've noticed, but you can upload music tracks to your profile here. Would be cool to hear something your father's composed, or favorite music of yours. (:
Since you're not a computer gamer, I guess you don't know of the Steam client, a very popular piece of free software with which you can buy games online, for immediate downloading onto your computer (which is good if you would rather not have material goods shipped to you or bought from a store). Currently Steam is having its holiday sale, which ends Jan 3rd, so, for the time being, the director's cut of Human Revolution goes for the reduced price of 10 euros... Well, I sense there's no urgency on your part to play any computer game, but now you know about those things, anyway, in case you didn't already. (:
I'm not well-versed in the art world, so I wouldn't recognize a Rembrandt, but now that you've pointed that out, it seems obvious to me that they intentionally made that dream scene to resemble that painting. I thought that it was some kind of a nod to the Age of Enlightenment, but I just now read that the painting was made a few decades before the defined starting period of said epoch.
Speaking of "the Anatomy Lesson", I can see you've understood it, judging by those paintings you put up a photo of. Is there any name for a particular style you like? Myself, I like to draw, but I'm only good enough for concept sketches (I sometimes draw some to help visualize characters or scenes for the stories I'm working on). Have you always been much of a visual artist?
What little I have heard of carnatic music makes me think of some crowded, bustling marketplace, but that might well just be part of how I stereotypically think of India... I used to play the piano, but, alas, I never really came to be very interested in it. Now I kind of wish I could play the violin - just one of the many instruments I find interesting these days (though, really, what I find most interesting is musicality itself).
Though I do not know what you think of Shankar, here is one of his collaborations with Glass. (The solo work of the latter is often quite a lot weirder - or so many might think.) Have you composed any music?
Thank you for saying so, Madhini (as a photo of yours suggests is your name). I'm afraid my profile is of the "too long; didn't read" variety for most. I like what there is of yours at the moment; I'm particularly drawn to artistic types around here (along with a couple of other types). I'll be checking back to see what else you'll be sharing. (:
Same here; as a writer (or as someone working on a few stories, anyway), I'll fairly often have ideas that, if further developed, I think could be commercially successful, but unless the "moral urgency" (as I judge it) of those could-be stories surpasses that of my few main projects, I don't have any drive to try to work out those ideas much.
I really wish there were more deeply meaningful and positively inspiring games out there... If you don't mind engaging in realistic-looking, virtual violence, you might find the cyberpunk action-thriller Deus Ex: Human Revolution engrossing. It deals with transhumanist concepts that I find highly relevant to our times. Here is a trailer for it.
Oh, and I guess you must've heard Ravi Shankar? (I know of him because he's worked some with my favorite composer, Philip Glass.) What kind of music do you like to play?
Better than my parents, my mom in particular, thinking it was just a crazy experiment adding nothing to anything! Alas, I think many have similar experiences with their family... How is your artistic persona, BTW? I like hearing that it is "socially aware". I see your profile is new - any chance you'll link us to some of you artwork in the near future? Oh, and papaya sure is a tasty fruit. Definitely a favorite. (:
Hey, I'm sorry to read that you face strong opposition from your family. My family's more of indifferent, which makes it easier to do whatever I like but can be difficult to convince them to change since they expect me in return not to say anything about what they eat. Stay strong in what you believe is right lady!! Would love to read about your experiences if you do decide to share :)
