I came upon 30BaD and low-fat raw vegan through a friend who forwarded me a you-tube video of Kristina Carrillo-Bucaram talking about what she eats in a day. Being of the "sugar in all forms is bad" school of thought, I was shocked. Then, I listened to something inside me that said, no screamed "LEARN MORE!!!". I spent the next few weeks devouring all I could about the lifestyle, as my gourmet (mostly) raw vegan lifestyle naturally shifted to this amazing way to live! I am still in transition, but feel better than I have in two years. I am losing much needed weight, have lots of energy, and have naturally been letting go of a lifetime struggle with emotional eating, very easily listening to my body's needs for the first time in many years. As a newbie, I am looking for support, community, and discussion as I navigate this new way of being.
