Paleo dietS

Have you seen this video on debunking the Paleo diet?http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BMOjVYgYaG8This is thought provoking. Although Christina is mistaken in regard to some humans adapting to milk (some humans merely tolerate the sugar in milk with a lactase persistence allele and have not adapted to high fat, dietary chol, etc. This is analogous to claiming humans adapted to polar climates since some have shorter arms). She also admits…See More

I am eating 1 cooked vegan 'meal'/day on avg. I eat 2-3 small 'meals' and graze/juice the rest of the day. I am juicing half my food intake and consuming 80% fruit.

I'm growing oranges, bananas, passion fruit, loquats, kumquats, pomegranate, blueberries, tomatoes, guavas, tangerines, limes, lemons, some veg, avocados, and a bunch of other small fruit trees that haven't yet produced. The soil is poor here in Florida. I use banana peels, coconut shells, etc as fertilizer and I'm finding it helps long-term but I'm still using a little commercial fertilizer.
Please tell us about your dietary inclinations:
I'm eating 80% raw/vegan/mostly fruit.

I'm interested in exchanging information about noticeable health improvements correlating with raw fruit intake. I'm also interested in uncommon fruit.

After transitioning to a mostly raw fruit based diet for the past year, I have noticed I no longer experience tightness/soarness in my deltoid after work-outs. I had an impingement in my left shoulder from behind the neck pull downs and bench press 8 yrs ago. I stopped exercising for a while, limited bench press, cut out behind the neck pull downs and resumed exercise at a decreased frequency. But over the last few months I've increased my work-outs and I no longer get the throbbing and… Continue

Hi Chris. We find the 'bacon' picture you posted to be inappropriate for 30BaD. It is offensive and disturbing, as expressed by several members. Please refrain from re-posting it, regardless of context.

Sincerely,

The 30BaD Team

Chris, I was reading on the forum and came across your comment "Hominidae co-evolved during the Miocene epoch, digesting plants (particularly succulent fruit) best. The Paleolithic era was a window of the past that didn’t change that." I was wondering if you had citations for this. Thanks!

Pot Luck Dinner & Get Together at Nature's Acre

Sunday, April 12, 2009 at 3:00 PM

Welcome to our peaceful, natural, organic acre. It is a combination of diverse, tropical fruit trees, bamboo, sugarcane, and vegetable & herb gardens located in a quiet section of the Redlands.

Climb up and enjoy our custom made, tree-friendly, sweet smelling, cedar tree house and its beautiful view. Sit on our hand-made, coral rock wall that encircles our grotto that steps down to the water-table. Exercise on our outdoor, wooden, fitness station nestled amongst our big avocado trees. Have fun on our giant bamboo see-saw.

22555 SW 182 Ave - Miami (Redlands)
Goulds, 33170 (for mapquest)

Take Eureka Dr to Quail Roost Dr west to Krome Ave (SW 177 Ave)
Make a left and go south on Krome to 224 St (Robbie's Feed Store)
Make a right on SW 224 St (you'll be heading west)
Go 1/2 mile and make a left on SW 182 Ave and go to 22555, the third house on left. It has a red wood entrance fence.
You'll also see the tree house from the road.

Hey Chirs,

That's awesome that your growing some tasty fruits. I'm looking for farmers who are producing large amounts. Do you know any in your area who are producing large amounts of fruit?
