Banana Island Day 6 - Now what?

Hi Folks,I'm on day 6 of a largely successful if uneventful banana (and date) island. I think after tomorrow I'd like to move to a little more diversity, without going to crazy. My story is that I've been back and forth from cooked vegan to "traditional" raw for maybe 8 years and 80-10-10 the last couple. I cruise for awhile, and then go back to cooked. So I'd like to use the departure form banana island as a constructive step rather than simply reverting to my olds ways, as Freelee says is…See More

I'd describe myself as "aspiring LFRV." I've been on and off raw for 5 years and definitely believe that LFRV is the way to go. My challenge has been consistently maintaing raw, let along LFRV without feeling deprived and bingeing on junk foods. I've been settling into LFRV during the day with lots of mono meals, smoothies and citrus juice. My major challenges are being willing to eat greens that aren't smothered in fat and being happy with typical 80-10-10 fare for dinner. I've got the usual travel, eating out, type issues, but if I can deal with the greens and dinner, I'd be a lot closer to the 80-10-10 ideal. I've been a member of a community called Transformation.com since last fall and have found the support and accountability to be super in eating better and losing weight. I'm eager to achieve similar progress on 80-10-10 by being part of this community.

• Soups or other recipes that feel like dinner
• Connection with LFRV distance runners, bodybuilders and other athletes

811 Day 2

Posted on March 4, 2012 at 12:04pm 0 Comments

1. Banana-peach-spinach smoothie

2. Mango with OJ and lettuce

3. Grapefruit juice-spinach. Giant salad with greens, mango, tomato, broccoli, and sunflower seeds. Tomato-basil dressing. 1 brazil nut. 1 date.

There was some celery in there, too.

I'm running low on celery per cronometer and I really don't like the taste of celery. I'll continue to work it into smoothies and salad dressing as best possible.

I've started a 30 day 811 LFRV challenge at http://www.811rvchallenge.com/ and am also looking forward to engaging more here. Freelee and Durianrider, along with Doug Graham, are all on the call schedule in March for this free program.

I thought it might also be good for my accountability to blog here. So here's yesterday's wrap-up:
