"Was reading your discussion and was wondering...what is Tahini Lemon dressing? Is that made without oil? I'm looking for a savory dressing to eat with salads."

Hooray for Alkaline pH!!!

Hello all,I have really enjoyed all the things I have been learning on this site.Early this month I bought a body brush and have been using it and bathing in lukewarm to cool water, without soap. I could feel the difference in my skin almost immediately. And I don't use coconut oil or Shea butter as much anymore, because my skin is not as dry as it once was.I also washed my hair without shampoo (I had been using Dr Bronner's for the last three years) and have been pleased with the results. "I thought about this journey last night. I have exhausted my little brain over the fine details of what to eat and what not to eat: herbs or no herbs, etc. I realized that there are other aspects to consider, such as enough sleep, less stress, etc.,…"

"Thats a thought! Perhaps the veggies should look like themselves and not somthing else. If it's true when they say "imitation is the sincerest form of flattery", then what vegetable wants to look like gummy, pasty white flour?…"

"Carol - When I want greens + savory, adding in some heirloom tomatoes + cilantro + a squeze or three of lemon usually helps. Blends of tomatoes + cilantro + other things gives a savory hit too. Maybe explore other greens, for different tastes and…"

"Sounds like a plan! Although, I don't know what I will do when watermelons are no longer in season. I eat a large one every other day, and when I'm full, if it's the end of the day, I don't eat anything else. I have tried…"

"just a thought, carol - there are many of us here who don't eat greens on a daily basis, from FruitBatAnne who eats no greens to some who just have a salad once a month or so when they feel like it. perhaps, rather than trying to force down…"

I have known about food combining since 1980, and about raw foods for at least 10 years. I have slowly transitioned by giving up sugar (tough!), fermented and fungal foods like mushrooms and cheeses. Giving up fish and chicken is the last phase, and I'm struggling with it! I enjoy reading, English literature, an I have a small eBay business.

I am transitioning to raw...I eat salmon or some type of white fish once a week at present. I am looking for support, encouragement and recipes for non-sweet fruits, including dressings, salsas and sauces, without pungent or stimulating spices. Just glorious raw fruit and vegetables!
