I was actually Googling the science of detox to better help myself explain it to someone who wanted "scientific proof". I started to read through the forum and videos from durianrider and freelee. I was very impressed and a lot of the information feels like it is the last piece to my puzzle in my raw food ventures. I have ordered the 80-10-10 book, the china study and others to add to my growing library of books which began with You Can Conquer Cancer and the Gerson Therapy.

I am 26 years old and was just diagnosed with bowel cancer. If anything it has actually been the best thing that has ever happened to me. I took charge of my health and started to research. This led me to the Gerson Therapy which I stuck to. Basically it I was doing raw veges and fruit with many juices. I began to feel absolutely awesome. Hayfever (which I was taking heavier meds for) disappeared, Asthma gone, Avacados no longer made my throat tight, my whites of my eyes were greyish and are now amazingly white, purple veins in my feet started to disappear etc. It was astonishing. Sleep was amazing, headaches were gone. It was something I was starting to lean towards as my personal trainer/nutritionist/life coach was doing it himself and it had got my interest. He likes to test all assumptions and gives things a go. 7 months and his strength and stamina were still climbing without any "protein". Cancer just pushed it forward and gave me AMPLE motivation. Like I said it has been the best thing that has happened to me. Possessions and so many of lifes "issues" really are not so important. I really am blessed to have this life experience so early in my life.

So now that my stomach muscles are almost repaired from surgery I am about to get back into cycling, strength training, conditioning and my beloved kettle bells. Bananas are going to become a staple and so are dates. I was lacking in fruit but have now added ample amounts. I really cannot wait to see how I perform and recover.

I have ample time off of work so the next six months are for me. Meditation, diet, exercise, goals achievements, reading, learning etc etc.

Thanks for the friend add and you are welcome for the rawschool info.  Both rawschool and rawfood explained are permanent life changers because they explain in detail and with references why we avoid some products we do, and how the body is amazing at healing itself if given the right tools.

Imagine how babies grow in the womb with no medical intervention?  Our bodies still have that innate wisdom if we just allow it to do what it needs to do.

Peace, PK

Cool! (: I've read it a couple of times myself. Quite the feat of Wright to put all the pieces together - still haven't seen someone explain how his theories and ideas are incorrect. If you'd like to discuss the material some with other readers, do check out this group!
