"I have not really cared for salad dressings just a few likeand asian one made out of tahini and ginger but it was higher fat. I prefer my salad naked but not unflavorful. I pick a few herbs out of the garden (just a few leaves) chop them up finely…"

I've been vegan for a few years now and have tried raw foods several times but I've never done it right. I've not been able to maintain consistency. Maybe because I was always the only one I knew that was doing what I was doing. Here's to joining a community, finally.

I grew up in Townsville, North Queensland, but when I was 10 years old I was given the opportunity to live in Penang, Malaysia with my family. I lived there for 9 years and I don't think home has one specific place on earth for me now. I'm a paid teacher's aid and a penniless musician. I have a broken sitar and no one to fix it. I devour good books and starve myself of television. I like unstructured play and phonetics play. I enjoy being in the elements. I have a dog that reads my mind.

Just saw your comment up on the sydney raw group, as a life long sydney resident I can vouch that fruit prices and fruit availability are great. Especially recently now dates seem to be stocked at all Woolworths and Coles which is awesome, also Sydney's Flemington Market is great for bulk buying. Never been to Melbourne so can't really comment on the varying diffrence between the citites, but Sydney is most definitely accomodating to an 811 lifestyle.

Nah I don't think this girl knows, maybe you're right. Only problem is that the only time i'de see her was when she worked at this vegan restaurant that is no longer open. Oh well.
