What brought me to 30 BaD, was seeing Durianrider on youtube! After seeing him there, I found out about his as well as Freelee's Facebook pages and linked up to them. I have been a vegetarian since I was 14, at 31 I decided to become vegan. I had tried to be a vegan as a teenager, and it was very difficult, so as an adult I decided to finally just do it. I have been researching raw veganism recently and I feel like I've been drawn to it.I have been reading anything I can get my hands on regarding the subject...and the entire concept of HCRV life makes total and complete sense, and I just know its for me.

I really want to be HCRV and just need some guidance
Reading "The 80-10-10 Diet" by Dr Doug Graham is vital for succeeding on this lifestyle. Please acquire this book as soon as possible.
I will read the book again!!

My favourite books/movies/authors/pastimes are....
Recently my favorite books are anything in reference to HCRV lifestyle, I have read Dr.Mcdougall's books,The China Study, The Live Food Factor, Freelee's Ebook and intend on reading The 80/10/10 next (its not available on Kindle :(...) I also watched Forks Over Knives, usually however I enjoy old black and white movies. I also have 3 children so that takes up most of my past time.
Durianrider & Freelee started this site to bring together high carb, raw vegan lifestylists' across the Globe! 30bad is a high standard and high performance team! We're here to help you make our team! Let us know what HCRV assistance do you need?
I now, only eat a cooked dinner. I really want to make the transition to 100% raw, I just am needing guidance on making the full transition. I need to know how much I should be eating and how often. Since being vegan I have actually gained 5 pounds and I am upset about that. I would love to have what Durianrider and Freelee have...energy, excitement, being active and healthy and vibrant...I want to attain it and I'm struggling.

Goal was to add fruit - 1st fruit breakfast then adding lunch etc... I dropped meat & became vegetarian then vegan w/n 2 months time, then juice feast for 30 days & banana island for 2 wks. Husband loved my results so much he wanted to join & we are restarting all over together this month. I didn't eat enough fruit 1st time around & didn't have any recipes to help with greens. I found FullyRawKristina, Rawfully Organic, Megan Elizabeth, & Terri Leventhal on YouTube & they have amazing advice & recipes. This time around we are just jumping in w/ both feet. Chonometer or something like that should help you iron out your calories. Hope that helps you...still a work in progress on our end.

Hey! I tried raw food 02/11 but it was high fat raw vegan. My husband & I only lasted 2 weeks before we broke down & went back to a S.A.D. diet. I kept researching through the spring & most search reasults led me here. Intriqued I purched Dr. Grahams book 80/10/10 & started my transition slowly over the summer while I educated myself. Then at the end of summer I dove right in to Dr. Graham's recommendations for transitioning. I have chronic pancreatitis so my transition has been slower than one would normally do. I'm on my second day of "mono fruit island" & its been amazing so far...
You're welcome. I used to wish I had red hair. But even if I did dye it with henna, it wouldn't have passed with my thick black eyebrows. Therefore I went with another haircolour I love - black. I use a mixture of pure indigo and henna black. :)
