Brian, sorry for the late reply. I'd be glad to help with any confusion you have with weightlifting. To answer your specific question, you should allow yourself to do the sets on a about 2-2:30 interval. Meaning you start the set, and whatever time is left in that 2:30, you rest until the next set. I tend to get ABOUT 90 seconds of rest in between.
