"Fruit is making your mouth more acidic, not your whole digestive tube. Measuring the pH of saliva is not a reliable method of measuring the pH of your intestines. Saliva is supposed to be slightly acid and fruit is more acid than grains…"

"Blood will ALWAYS be maintained within a certain tight range. Going one way or another is fatal. The body goes to great lengths to keep it there. It will leach calcium from the bones and teeth and also store acidity in the tissue."

"are you eating a POUND or two or greens? because a huge HUGE salad may only be about half a pound…depends on what you consider huge. i wonder if upping how many greens you eat would decrease your saliva pH"

Our community would be delighted to know you better. Please tell us more about yourself and what brought you to 30BaD. We suggest you pick a name other than your own if you want to maintain anonymity.: I am a fitness and health obsessed divorced mom of 2 trying to find balance and super health in this toxic world. : )

After many years as a fitness instructor, and many years of trying a number of different "healthy" eating lifestyles, I came upon the raw food diet a couple of years ago. I have been struggling with it... and loving it at the same time. I couldn't imagine going back to anything close to the SAD diet. I have even been giving raw food classes and dinners locally.

However, I was struggling with falling off the wagon into bad food every once in a while and feeling terrible mentally and physically afterwards. I was gaining weight because, as I now know, of the high fat nut and seeds diet I was eating.

The 80/10/10 diet is something I really want to give a try (as I sit here eating my entire pineapple for lunch). So far I feel fantastic, but it's only been a few days of this hard core.

Well your not alone, I haven't found anyone out this way either. Thinking that there is not a lot of lfrv here in the hampton roads area. Would be nice to be able to connect with and share info with other lfrv's in our area. That's why I made a group called Hampton Roads 811, so far no one has joined, maybe it's just the two of us.
