After many years as a fitness instructor, and many years of trying a number of different "healthy" eating lifestyles, I came upon the raw food diet a couple of years ago. I have been struggling with it... and loving it at the same time. I couldn't imagine going back to anything close to the SAD diet. I have even been giving raw food classes and dinners locally.
However, I was struggling with falling off the wagon into bad food every once in a while and feeling terrible mentally and physically afterwards. I was gaining weight because, as I now know, of the high fat nut and seeds diet I was eating.
The 80/10/10 diet is something I really want to give a try (as I sit here eating my entire pineapple for lunch). So far I feel fantastic, but it's only been a few days of this hard core.

Brit was wondering if you buy organic or conventional fruits and veggies? I buy conventional but want to change over to organic as funds will allow. Was going to shop at Heritage but wow they are soooooo expensive, mark up is so high. Do you know of another place that has fruit in the area that's organic? Have a fruit fulled day.....! <3
Well your not alone, I haven't found anyone out this way either. Thinking that there is not a lot of lfrv here in the hampton roads area. Would be nice to be able to connect with and share info with other lfrv's in our area. That's why I made a group called Hampton Roads 811, so far no one has joined, maybe it's just the two of us.
