For better or for worse, I work with supplements everyday. D2 and D3 raise the blood levels of vitamin D in equal amounts. There was an in depth video posted by Mario I believe on D and they went over this topic too.
I'm going into my second year as a vegan, under 1 year for lfrv though, and just this past month tried mango and pineapple again. It had been eight years since I last had them. I can now eat an entire pineapple now without any reaction, it used to o…
There were a lot more posts like this in the summer. The main points that came out of the threads were that you should make sure the melon is room temperature, has seeds, is fully ripe, and you don't eat it too fast
Dr. Graham made a good point in either his book or one of his speeches that I think may help you here. He said how nutrition books often times make separate recommendations for how to eat and be healthy if you are an average person or an athlete. He…
I think the question Bella is whether you think humans evolved eating fruit. If what you say is true about wild fruits, we would have had to eat a dozen pounds of fruit every day to get enough calories. Do you think this is the case?
Bella, have you read "The Fruit Hunters" by Adam Leith Gollner? The author goes to Borneo, Hawaii, Brazil, etc to see exotic tropicals in their natural surroundings and finds them to be exceptionally sweet and delicious. I am sure you are right abou…
The only time that I have had a similar reaction is when the bananas were either not ripe enough or too ripe. Do you think it could also be a reaction with the pesticides? Maybe try organic bananas and see if this helps.
If not, you may just need a…
Maybe I spoke too generally. In your case I think it makes sense to cover up if you have to be outside in the sun longer than an hour or so. While I believe everyone of any skin type can adjust to differing climates and sun exposures, it is only to…
Bottom line, the sun doesn't cause our skin to age, free radicals do. What's the best way to reduce free radical damage? Antioxidants from fruits, vegetables, and from the sun itself(vitamin d). As Andrew pointed out, moderation is key when it comes…
Durianrider & Freelee started this site to bring together low fat raw vegan lifestylists' across the Globe! Please be kind & respectful of eachother during forum interaction. What raw assistance do u need?

Where are you right now? Tropics or CT? Now that Full Belly Fruit is making momentum we should definitely get a potluck happening. It would be fun to hang out with a group of 811ers sipping coconuts, chomping bananas, along with starfruit, sapodilla, cherimoya, citrus, papaya, sapote!
I feel like MA is a good meeting point for NY, CT, NH, ME. What do you think? ANywhere else you think could work better?

heck yea my man! It will happen after the holidays, lots of stuff going on. Trying to get the fruit set up, and when we are getting copious amounts we are going to celebrate with a potluck.
Just think about it, fruity people hanging around a table with truly ripe, dripping fruit!
Lynda, don't deprive yourself by limiting yourself to no more than 3 dates a day. I used to eat no more than 2 a day because I was worried about all that sugar and calories but I one day last year I ate 120 medjool dates in one day. (3 smoothies wit…
i pushed back dinner too long tonight and then somebody on facebook talked about his falafels and had pics.. I went running for my oranges at that point...
After 6 months of 811, I ate vegan cooked food again for 2-3 months. Definitely lost my 6-pack and got some moobs. There's still some excess fat below my pectoral muscles, which is quite agitating. ha. I know it will leave in time.
And I've heard than for women, strengthening your pecs gives you more firmness and lift in your actual breasts, kind of like how bodybuilders strengthen their brachialis to make the biceps brachii "pop."
I wonder if some of it has to do with HGH levels via exercise, and that maybe affecting estrogen/testosterone balance? Just an unresearched hypothesis.
Same here, at least 100 khadrawys if I'm mono-ing on dates. Today I had 12 oranges for breakfast, and then probably 30-40 dates (which are small than medjool). (no dinner - somehow wasn't hungry even after a huge training day yesterday)
