I'm a mom of three who is looking to improve my health and the health of my family. I think raw is the right way to go...but I'm having a challenging time switching us over. I'm hoping to find inspiration and encouragement so that we can be fully raw.

Sure thing Arizona! It's a really interesting topic that I think gets overlooked a lot. That and the reasons why high fat high calorie meat/dairy/eggs/processed foods with oil are pleasurable because of our evolutionary heritage of wanting to find the most dense source of calories. To get started. Be sure to note food, calorie, water, sleep recommendations and log (can use www.cronometer.com or similar) your food/drink intake, at least for the first few months to get used to what you need to eat to stay on target calorie wise as well as macronutrient (carbs:fat:protein) wise. Even if someone is a long time, established, raw vegan, it is possible discover some things using "hard-data"; spot trends, be able to make good adjustments, that might not be possible otherwise.
