About Me: I think the best way to describe myself is someone defined by the moment. And I don't just mean my mood, I mean that every level of my self (that I can see) changes. This of course means that tomorrow I may no longer be defined by the moment, because that moment may have passed. (Te-he) One constant thing I believe though is that actions are way better than words, so I prefer to define myself through action, which tends to be difficult express in words.
What brought me to 30BaD: It all started half way through my freshman year of college I was dating someone and she was into health/fitness and was a vegetarian. So she got me to try it out (note that before this time I ate SAD and never cared because I was pretty thin) and suffice to say that the diet lasted longer than the relationship. So the following summer, after being vegetarian for about 4 months, I blindly went high carb vegan. I ate 1500-2000 calories of vegetables, rice, pasta, oatmeal a day (where's the fruit!?), while holding a physically active job, working out everyday, and got super emaciated, dropping from a pretty ripped 170 to a weak 135. Not knowing anything I blamed the veganism and started bingeing on anything and everything. I climbed up to 210 over the following 7 months... not getting super fat (as I was still exercising like a madman) but I felt like crap all the time. So that summer I went paleo and proceeded to feel worse and I just got chunky, no motivation to exercise and tired all the time. I remember a friend posted videos of Freelee, Durianrider, and Dan the Man on facebook and I watched them, but wasn't really ready to accept it yet. But over the next month the videos would just pop in my head here are there and after a while I just figured, what did I have to lose? So I took my paleo nonsense, threw it out the window, and went on banana island for 3 weeks. After those 3 weeks I felt better than I ever had before so I went all in. That was August 2011. Since then I've been a high-carb vegan.

Good find. Organic? I just got a little over 200lbs for 56$ at the public market this Saturday ;) Abundance used to sell me 40lbs for 9$! I think they caught on that the spotty ones are actually the best ones.
