I am coming to 30BAD after years of abusing diets, taking advice from people that I don't really want to emulate and after experimenting here and there with various facets of veganism and raw foods. I had a nice run of success with Natalia Rose's raw diet a few years ago, but the deeper I submersed myself in the Raw Community, the more complex things became. Suddenly, it seemed that I should be eating less fruit, more nuts and greens and weird things I've never heard of. Suddenly, the simplicity of my original plan (Eat raw fruits and vegetables.) went out the window and I became obsessed with soaking things, making nut "cheezes," cleansing, dehydrating, getting rid of sugar in order to defend myself against candida. . .and somehow, I ended up more sluggish, fatter and more depressed than ever before. Finally, I ended up on a binge that took me completely off the rails.

Now that I'm not starving (but definitely overweight and depressed) I've decided to dig deep and look for some truth COMING FROM PEOPLE WHO HAVE TRAITS THAT I WANTED TO EMULATE. What I've seen here are people who embrace my favorite foods (Fruit. . .which I've been told was the devil these days.) and appear VIBRANT, STRONG and HEALTHY. Durian and Freelee look healthier and stronger than any vegan/vegetarian person I know. I want to be like this! It sounds like heaven to me, to eat this much fruit and not be a diabetic fat-bag. I would love to be like some of you here, who have been able to prove the whole "fruit makes you fat" crows WRONG.

I really want to be HCRV and just need some guidance
Are you Connected?
yes married
My favourite books/movies/authors/pastimes are....
I used to love surfing. Ever since I've fattened up, I stopped. I feel too fat, too tired and too self conscious.

I love horseback riding, too and continue to do that on a weekly basis. I wear my breeches and the longer shirts that cover my gut. Ha ha ha.

My favorite books are "Lost Horizon" by James Hilton and "Dragon Seed" by Pearl S. Buck. I love any and all movies about surfing, too. I like documentary style films that have narrators with great senses of humor.
Durianrider & Freelee started this site to bring together high carb, raw vegan and vegan lifestylists' across the Globe! 30bad is a high standard and high performance team! We're here to help you make our team! Let us know what high fruit assistance do you need?
I'm really looking, right now, for guidance and support. I'm going to read all that I can to avoid the pitfalls of my previous experiments in Raw Vegan diets. I like that everyone here seems to give it to you straight, no b.s. :) That makes me feel like this place would be a great place for guidance and support.
30bad is a fruit-focused vegan internet community which promotes a high carb fruit based vegan lifestyle free of any animal products. Our forum does not tolerate encouragement of anything contrary to this. Days Seven and Eight. . . .Woof. . .

The often used saying "Failure to plan? Plan on failing," could sum up the last two days for me. Don't get me wrong. . .they weren't colossal failures. . .and when I think about it, it wasn't really a "failure" in so much as "a lesson learned."

Yesterday, I participated in a class that lasted eight hours total. We had lessons, a practical exam and a written test. You can't leave. You are alotted 30 minutes for lunch, and were warned ahead of time to pack your lunch if you're a…

On the Sixth Day of 811, My True Love Gave to Me. . .

NOTHING! Ha ha ha!

However, I did get a HUGE box of bananas today at a ridiculously cheap price. Now I just have to wait for them to ripen.

Today was a little frustrating as far as hitting my macros. Right now, I'm only at 1086  cals and I feel like I can't eat another bite or drink another smoothie. And while I'm spot on with the 80% for my carbs, my protein and fat are seriously out of whack. My fat is at 15% and my protein is at 5%.  . .and…

Just a Note to Myself. . .

There are days when you are going to hear it from others; days when friends of yours say "Dr. Mercola says. . ." or days when your doctor says ". . .this sounds like an eating disorder rearing its ugly head." On days like that, please, take a few slow, deep breaths and close your eyes. Pay attention to your body. What does it feel like? Do you have that same sick feeling you did when you were overdosing on protein and getting "keto-rash" from losing weight too fast? Or do you have that same,…

Fah Fah Fah Fiiive. . .

I saw a discussion on one of the forum boards asking why people are counting their days. . .for me, I'm counting my days because I'm convinced that once I get to 30 days, the way I'm living and eating now will be a HABIT and something I do naturally. . . and not something I'm "trying to do." It might happen earlier than that, but 30 days seems to be the stickler!

Today was a pretty easy day. . .though it's not over yet. I'm going to need to add some more carbs by way of fruit…

Awesome Amy! I get horsey hugs every day and even when I am so tired of chores, and gladly get time away, I still miss being around my horsey friends! :)

BTW, Welcome back to sane eating! You'll be feeling great and able to stop dressing to cover in no time! On down days make sure to get plenty of horsey-hugs in! Those days will be less and less! Still get those hugs in though, they rock! :)
