One of the things I believe in is that reality and destiny are shaped through our actions and the mindset within we operate. What one believes determines the development of future events, psychologically but also quite figuratively. If you ask me what I think the purpose of life is I would say we are here to take up on our responsibility toward the ecological well being of the planet, the prosperity of all sentient beings, and to strive to become the best possible version of ourselves possible. Today’s society is a nightmare and the survival of the human race is clearly dependent on a shift from the self centred and destructive patterns of Mainstream society.

If we want to survive we will need to change and adapt. Living means learning and learning means change. Life is change, everything changes you. You are not the same person you where an hour ago, nor will you be the same person tomorrow. We create the parameters within we chose to operate, every choice has consequences for ourselves and the world around us. Ultimately first step toward changing the world for the better must always start within our own person. If we call ourselves civilized we need to acknowledge that our first responsibility lies within our actions, we need to stop blaming others for the things we do and become accountable for our deeds.

I used to eat live and breathe my beliefs was big on living by example. In 2000 my 12 year old daughter had a stroke and it set a whole extreme cycle of traumatic events in motion which swallowed me whole. I do not know when it happened but at some point I must have stopped fighting and let myself slip into a whole world of depression, eating disorders you name it. A while back I took a hard account of the last 12 years and realised just how far I have drifted from who I really am and the path that I once claimed. Here I was overweight, with chronic pain, thousand ailments and a possible diagnosis of MS (must still go through some tests to confirm) basically vegetating. What was left of me was some involvement in political and animal rights activism, but I was tired all the time and literally had to force myself to do anything else than sleep .

I decided to go on Zyara- Zyara is an Arabic word for visit but its deeper meaning equates to the path of self discovery. When one goes on Zyara on engages on the path of the new the unexplored to make sense of things to find balance. The first step was to transition from vegetarian to vegan in 2011. Then as I decided to give up smoking after 3o and have been smoke free for a year now.

Going vegan has cleared up some of my health issues my rheumatoid arthritis disappeared , as did many of my allergies, my IBS went back by a whopping 90%; which is all great but I am still overweight, and suffering under chronic fatigue. I am aware that some of the fatigue comes from my MS symptoms, and some of it is a part of my PTSD, but I am still fat because I still eat a lot of fattening things period!

I have been ogling the fruitarian lifestyle for a few months now for two distinct reasons, the first is obvious -the health factor. I am tired of looking and feeling this way something has to change I refuse to let THIS be the last chapter of my life!

The second might make me sound like a nutjob but after reading some papers on the possible sentience of plants and their communication patterns I realised the only truly cruelty free lifestyle is Fruitarianism.

So the logical conclusion for my next steps of Zyara is to cut out all the toxic situations and people out of my life ( this is already in progress – slow but it’s getting there :P ), the second is the transition into Fruitarianism. With that I hope to restore my health or at least better it, come closer to who I want to be and maybe find a few new people on the way.

Durianrider & Freelee started this site to bring together high carb, raw vegan lifestylists' across the Globe! 30bad is a high standard and high performance team! We're here to help you make our team! Let us know what HCRV assistance do you need?
I think emotional support (because the people in my life are unsupportive , some even hostile ) as well as tips and resources on how to pull this off on a very tight budget ( until I can find employment again)
30bad is a HCRV (high carb, raw vegan) internet community which promotes a high carb raw lifestyle free of any animal products. Our forum does not tolerate encouragement of anything contrary to HCRV. Nor do we allow endorsement of non-vegan items or practises which involve the imprisonment, exploitation, abuse or murder of sentient beings. We also require our members to post with proper netiquette. Therefore, please indicate your intention:

Good deal :)  Well for me, I often found that I can eat anything I like as long as I don't draw attention to it. So When I have a bunch of bananas at lunch and someone asks why, I just say something like "I really like to have fruit in the warm weather" , or "I just feel like it". etc. and they generally don't say anything. But if I say "I am vegan" some of them immediately get some picture in their minds and then that picture is what they are fussing at, not me. So it could be that your friends are still cool, just not understanding at the moment. Give them time. Plus as you are very healthy and happy, people will naturally be attracted to that.
