Yes, of course I take it as a compliment, and thanks. Am glad someone has dusted off some of my old posts, lol. But now you've got me curious. Do you remember which discussion that was? Thanks either way.
Hi Alexa,
I'm still completely 811 but haven't been on the site for quite a while, which makes me wonder why you friended me. No problem, just wonder since I haven't posted in so long.
had to add this..
also check this out.. This is a Hang.. nuff said.
I would suggest the "goodest" "old fashionist" acoustic drums there are! Hand drums!
Trap sets are cool too, I just like the connection with the music that using your hands gives.
Try a Djembe, its the most versatile, broad range, hand drum there is. You will love it!
Keep jamin! check out great percussionist zakir hussain and tabla beat science!
omg Topanga, I'm so glad you're back!
You are super ultra gorgeously beautiful, btw! xD
What kinds of drums are your favorite? I play mostly djembe, doumbek, and ashikos. I also like playing the traps. My "dream instrument" is a Halo from pantheon steel. Big fan of percussion anyway..
Good to be friends.. Keep in touch.
You really need to come visit me soon!.. my place is awesome :)
I like Georgia, or at least the Atlanta area, more than I anticipated I would. It's a huge, crowded, and very polluted city, but there is a lot to see and do here, and because there are a decent number of relatively high quality markets around, it is better suited to this lifestyle than you might imagine. There are also a number of relatively pristine natural areas on the outskirts if you know where to look.
If nothing else, it's nice to actually have some fall weather in the fall, as opposed to January, as I'm accustomed to.
My experiences with the state outside of the Atlanta area have been less positive, but that's mostly been travel associated with work (which typically means visiting an office or plant out in the boondocks) or travel through the state along I-95 (typically north to Maryland or south to Florida), so I won't cast a verdict on the entire state based on that.
Hope you're doing well :)
