"Your friend is exaggerating. No-one in my platoon puked from anything during basic training when I was in the Australian Army.   Perhaps he's referring to SAS training?   For anyone remotely fit, Australian boot camp is easy."

Training Diet Advice

Hello everyone, I'm new to the concept of LFRV diet and am keen to learn more. So far I have been consuming around 3/4 of my daily intake of food as raw fruit and veg for the past week and have already noticed some of the benefits to adopting this lifestyle (I have more energy and workout recovery has improved). I'm looking for some helpful advice that will improve my training diet. First some background info; I'm training to join the Australian Army with my long term dream being to join…See More

Alex Williams replied to Roar of Tiger's discussion what is your favorite way of exercising (without the use of gym) and why?
"Barefoot running on concrete, you'll need to get some barefoot shoes (oxymoron I know). Start out slow, only run short distances then work your way up, even if you run long distances already start back at square one. It will cause your legs a…"

I was referred to this site by my cousin who is a raw vegan. I am not a raw vegan myself but currently consume around 2/3 to 3/4 of my diet as raw fruit and vegetables. I wont give up eating meat because I like the taste too much but I only eat meat 2 or 3 times a week and really enjoy eating the majority of my diet as vegetarian food. I am currently training to join the army and hope to get some useful information about diet practices to help me get the most out of my high intensity workouts.
