Haha yup we did! You were especially great at peeling! Pomegranates are still growing strong but you're not fond of seedy fruit are you? Haha yea no prickles! Ahaha lemon fruit meal sounds delicious.... We can eat sailor style...not that we should even think scurvy is a possibility with a high raw diet..

we did quite a good job at picking them =) next time.... I don't know.... what's in season next? citrus? haha... at least it won't hurt! ;)

Yea they taste delicious and have been one of my favourite foods ever since I was really young. I used to eat 50 or so in 1 sitting. My dad would peel them all for me :) They're quite high in calcium for fruit but kale is a lot easier to prepare and I can just chuck it in a smoothie if I want calcium. Most greens are high in calcium so I can just make a green smoothie. If I eat prickly pears I either eat loads or follow it up in an hour or so with a higher calorie fruit meal :)

The taste is really difficult to describe. It's a little like sweet watermelon or a bit more honeydew melon flavoured but more like watermelon in texture with seedsand  a bit bubblegummy if that's possible? Erm it's one of my favourite foods, I absolutely love it and all varieties taste a little different. This is the red kind but there's also bright orange and green yellow and then different cactus fruits as well. They are quite the pain in the bum (literally, you get the prickles everywhere) to collect and peel.
