Comment by Tobias on October 6, 2012 at 12:46am Funny little chart :)
To get serious, I agree with Derek. Because in essence, veganism is also about not being speciesist or racist... so it would be hypocritical to assume all meat eaters are idiots.
Ofc. this chart doesn't literally say that. It's probably talking about the idiots that happen to be meat eaters, any given group of people has some 'idiots' in it hehe.
Comment by Henrik Larsson on September 18, 2012 at 11:11am For me it is seeing the people i love eating things i truly believe will hurt them and shorten the time we will have together :(
Comment by Trevor Gates on September 18, 2012 at 10:15am So you work for tips. Wait till they tip ya, then slip 'em some vegan propaganda ;)
We all work for tips(they come in many ways). If we make the world a better place, EVERYONE will benefit!
I'm serious about the vegan pride parade.. Lets do it! I will work on starting one in Hilo..
Comment by GeoVegan on September 18, 2012 at 10:14am A picture is worth 1,000 words. Usually it's telling people that I don't survive on or eat tofu or tofu processed to mimic some meat product. But, I especially like it when people say, "that looks healthy, or good, or tasty, or something similar." I just answer, "it is."
Comment by melonhead on September 18, 2012 at 7:45am I like the vegan pride parade!!!

Comment by Trevor Gates on September 18, 2012 at 6:28am You know, a thought just came to me; people don't just hate veganism by personal choice, they have be programed by mass media, Monsanto, the AMA, doctors, and their friends(who were programed by all the same). The roots of this hatred of vegans and animal free diets in general are much deeper and evil than I think most people realize. Yes part of it comes from the meat/dairy industry wanting to keep their profits high but the bigger picture is connected to the dumbing down and sickening of the people agenda.
There is much propaganda spilled out, with the help of millions of corporate dollars, to fight anything that goes against the "great plan".
So ya.. It is their fault for being idiots(they could chose to think for themselves) but it is not their fault for being conditioned from birth, dumbed down with "food" and chemicals, and led by the sheep herders.
I am a firm believer in WAKING PEOPLE UP to the real situation and not shying away from their aggression just because its more convenient.
I say TELL THE WORLD that your vegan, and tell 'em why! If they come back with some pea brained argument to the contrary give it to 'em straight! Don't be aggressive just have better arguments(easy to do) and use your words to MAKE A CHANGE!
I'M VEGAN AND I'M PROUD!!
We should start "vegan pride" parades in every city in the world!
Comment by melonhead on September 18, 2012 at 5:33am Y'now, it's funny- I work in the tourism industry and talk to a lot of meat eaters about where they're going to eat. Every now and then, I'll say I'm a vegetarian but I since becoming a raw vegan over three years ago, I usually still say 'vegetarian' when asked my preference. I think "Vegan" is such a beautiful word- I let animals be. That's so much of what it says but once it's out there, oh god, just wait for the sh*t storm cuz it's coming. Right this minute, I am thinking how I really am missing out on an opportunity to spread raw veganism by not weathering those storms of poo- hmm.. great chart!
Comment by Lisa Dee on September 18, 2012 at 12:49am I would change this to "angry idiots". For the life of me, I don't' understand why SAD eaters get so hostile, defensive, and nasty if you don't mirror their eating habits. Of course, we're referring to only a segment of the SAD eaters, but this segment is very, very vocal. I've heard someone say "I hope all you vegans get sick and die!" WTF?
Comment by Catherine on September 17, 2012 at 6:18pm yeah ! This speaks to me : people sabotaging my diet, offering me meat at each meal, trying to make me eat meat etc. Sick of it...
