Comment by Tarah @ 40 Below Fruity on June 16, 2012 at 6:54pm How long have you been doing 811 Jennifer? Are you eating enough calories? Enough greens? Do you have a history of any illness or disorders?
There are so many things that affect hair loss.
Jolita, I run 3 times per week in a tropical climate and I don't have any problems. I find I actually sweat about 75% less than when I was eating cooked food even when I exercise vigorously.
Comment by Jennifer P on June 16, 2012 at 3:48pm What is your secret!? I've been losing hair! :( I am really looking for some support and advice.
You have amazing hair! :)
Comment by Tarah @ 40 Below Fruity on June 10, 2012 at 4:43pm Wow, thank you everyone!
This is the longest I've ever had my hair, and it's still growing. I'm going to aim for growing it another 12 inches or so.
I actually didn't transition to shampoo free. I simply woke up one morning and decided to stop using shampoo. I didn't experience any grease or any other side effects. I do notice that I get dandruff quite easily if I'm showering in water that's been chlorinated, though. I massage my scalp with water daily.
Love of fruit, my hair grows around an inch per month. I've been growing it out for 18 months and it's grown 13 inches. I've had 4-5 inches trimmed off during that time, so 17-18 inches in total.

Comment by For_The_Love_Of_Fruit on June 10, 2012 at 6:28am :) when you say "fast hair growth", do you have an idea of how much it is per month? thanks!! :)
Comment by Athena on June 10, 2012 at 4:06am Extraordinary! :) Your hair is GORGEOUS. :) Is that the longest you've ever had your hair? Does it continue to grow? Do you have a blog on your journey/transition to being shampoo-free? If so, I'd love to learn. :)
Comment by Tarah @ 40 Below Fruity on June 9, 2012 at 1:20pm Thanks! It is worth going shampoo and product free.
Yes this is my natural colour. It changes depending on how much sun I'm getting. I've been experiencing summer for the last 7 months so it turns it from a dark brown to light auburn.
Comment by L on June 9, 2012 at 7:41am P.S. is this your natural hair color?
