Comment by Raw Pixi on May 11, 2012 at 6:16am I just started my journey 01/2012 & have relied on 30bananasaday.com for nearly everything from what does it look like ripe to storage, recipes, & encouragement. I have gained a sharper taste & smell for foods, lessened allergies, improved skin texture & color, shinier hair, clearer mentally, more positive & happy, lost 45 pounds so far effortlessly. THANKS :D
Comment by Dewey Kenneth Rivkin Jr. on May 6, 2012 at 9:38am I've only been doing this 5 days. I was starving myself before to lose weight. I lost 40 LBs in 3 and 1/2 months, but just had hit another plateau. Since I started this I have been gorging myself, and lost 6 pounds in 5 days. The main thing is that I feel so fantastic, and it is working wonders already on my skin. I think, that I have found a new way of living. Thanks for this website.
Comment by Olya on May 1, 2012 at 6:48am My boyfriend and I became vegans about a year ago. After watching many truth revealing documentaries we just didn't want to sponsor animal cruelty no more! Then in February of this year my boyfriend showed me one of the Freelee's videos and I became curious about all this LFRV thing:) Though I have been on this lifestyle for 3 month only I already feel SO MUCH BETTER!!! I used to have big problems with gallstones, because I consumed to much of fat (even on vegan diet). I used to feel nauseous all the time and had stomach pain and discomfort everyday. Now I barely have any stomach pain or nausea and I stopped complaining (I bet my boyfriend is happy about it:). I used to have an asthma for cats and now I have a cat!!!! Isn't is something?!? My nails used to break and I could never grew them. Now my nails are growing strong. I was depressed, overtired and used to break out in tears for no reason... Now I am happier and more optimistic about my future. No more depression or tears. And my boyfriend and some of my friends also noticed that I have lost some weight:) Isn't it nice?:)) I AM JUST SO GRATEFUL!!!

Comment by Sigrid Holth on March 22, 2012 at 8:45pm I'll write more about my story at a later date (have been HCRV for only about 3 weeks), but I measured my body fat today and I was AMAZED!!! I haven't weighed myself (kind of scared of seeing the number), but I decided to see if I had toned up/lost some cm. Here, see for youselves:
Neck: 31 cm --> 31 cm (no change here, but that is perfectly okay!)
Waist: 71 --> 68 cm!!! (WOW! 3 cm in three weeks!?)
Hips: 90 --> 89 cm! YAY!
My BF% went from 22% to 19.9%! I'm so happy! I don't really need to loose weight (am 170 cm and ca. 54 kgs), but I want to tone up some more so this is great news! I'll probably weigh myself later, just to make sure I'm not dropping too much weight! :D I lost inches eating between 2000 and 2500 cals a day! (2500 for the last week)! It's amazing!!!
i cannot express the full amount of joy i have experienced because of the 80/10/10 lifestyle. no other vegan diet even comes close to the statisfaction i feel all day. ever meal is an event to look forward to. the lightness and well being i have are beyond compare. dr graham is a true pioneer in the way the entire world will eat in the future. harley and freelee have done an outstanding job by promoting this life style both with this website and there personal commitment to health and freedom for all people willing to listen. i am truley fortunate to be born and living during the monumental discovery that humans are frutarians! may peace be with you all!

Comment by Izwel on March 7, 2012 at 1:49pm I love Life! I love being well. I feel clear headed, light as a feather and have more energy than I did when I was 15. I no longer suffer from manic depression aka bipolar. I feel more positive than ever. I never exercised until now, I enjoy it very much. I'm happy that more animals are alive cuz I didn't eat them. I'm happy to support organic farmers. I'm happy that I have inspired people to go HCRV. Harley and freelea have been an enormous inspiration to my life. Thanks. I'm happy to know what I want in life: Simplicity Health and Fun.
Peace and Laughter,
Izwel
Comment by Vegandude on March 6, 2012 at 4:12pm Hardly know where to start :) I too suffered from ADD, depression, neck pain, body image problems that led me to actually start taking an anabolic steriod...I then met a women of 53 who was 811 raw vegan. I saw the benifits she had and I was very interested..and realized life is about health and longevity...not what you look like. So I tried it. stopped the steriods, alcohal, and went 100% HCRV that day and never went back. havnt cheated once :) heck i ate 30 bananas just yesterday :) I feel amazing. Sleep better. wake up energized. love my breakfast. No need for caffine. stopped that completely :) No need for medicines, pain relievers...my teeth got whiter... my skin softer, sagging under eyes that I figured was just my age catching up with me...GONE now! i swear i cant believe i actually look younger! Its only been a month! Ive lost almost all my body fat and water weight. I look better than I ever have. This is amazing to keep muscle and shred all body fat..and Im 37...and feeling better than when i was a teenager :) Ive learned that living off fruits is what humans were designed for..therefore, following that diet, gives us full use of all our potential. We will feel, look and perform as we were designed. I owe my life to Rahansia (on this site) for showing me 811...and an enormous thanks to Mr, Dr. Douglas Graham! :) Thank you!
Comment by Kitkatchoco2001 on February 27, 2012 at 8:49am Irlianna samsara, thank you so much for your reply. very very helpful :)
Comment by Kitkatchoco2001 on February 27, 2012 at 7:45am To make my story short, 3 weeks ago I decided I need to eat healthier and lose weight. So I started the raw food diet. So far I've lost 10 pounds (4 kilos) in only 3 weeks. I love this diet as I am a fruit lover :) so it s not being difficult for me at all. I was never very keen on meat, so it is very easy to become vegan :) ... my only difficulties at the moment is get rid of salt (something that I did not think would be an issue) and dressing for salads. But the fruit and nuts bit is wonderful. Tomorrow I will start jogging again. Had a sore back and could not exercise for a while :(
Comment by twids on February 17, 2012 at 1:07pm PS - Oh yeah, and I've lost 25lbs in the past 4 weeks! :)
Comment by twids on February 17, 2012 at 1:07pm 3 months ago I got a pretty major wake-up call. I was severely clinically depressed, I had gained 50 lbs on an already heavy frame (I topped out at 250), and I felt awful all the time. A routine trip to my GP resulted in a round of blood tests that sent my eyes popping out of my head. My Cholesterol and Triglycerides were out of control, my liver was not at all functioning well, I was anemic...I was a disaster, and my doc called me to tell me as much. I asked for 3 months to get my act in gear.
I went vegan the next day and started reading and watching everything I could. Two weeks later I was high raw. 3 weeks ago I decided to follow Durianrider and Freelee's example, bought 80/10/10 and a box of bananas, and never looked back.
Today I got new tests, and the results are back. Here they are:
ALT (Liver function, should be 14-54): 3 months ago: 33 Now: 20 Difference: -13
Cholesterol (total): 3 months ago: 360 Now: 263 Difference: -97
HDL [good] Cholesterol: 3 months ago: 45 Now: 52 Difference: +7
LDL [bad] Cholesterol: 3 months ago: 264 Now: 186 Difference: -78
Triglycerides (lower is better): 3 months ago: 253 Now: 123 Difference: -130
BOOYAH! I'll update again in another three months, but I'm pretty sure my doc will approve of me staying off statin drugs for now...maybe I can drop another 97 Cholesterol points in the next three months! Wish me luck! :)
Thanks, Harley and Freelee!!!!!!
Comment by Peter David Ebdon on February 6, 2012 at 12:17am Hi All,
A good friend recommended that I watch Forks Over Knives, around 10 weeks ago. I found the information incredible and started to do more and more research, including watching most if not all, of DR's videos and studying the work of others, who freely pass on such great information, like Dr Neal Barnard, Professor T. Colin Campbell, of The China Study fame, Dr Caldwell B Esselstyn and Dr John McDougall etc.
I bought the 80/10/10 diet book, by Dr Doug Graham, recently, having seen it advertised here, shortly after becoming a member of 30bananas a day. The book is absolutely fantastic and a must read, for anyone interested in optimal health and longevity. I've been vegetarian for 2 months now and vegan, for around 6 weeks.
Previously, I had been addicted to Pepsi and chocolate, aswell as other foods and drinks that were no good for me, for approximately 25 years. I am 41 years of age and 2 months ago, weighed 13stones 7lbs, which is quite heavy for me. I now weigh 11st 7lbs and feel fantastic! I have more energy, more stamina, sleep much better and feel happier than I can ever remember.
I've tried to take on board, DR's message of sleep, water, sugar and start my day with a half mile swim and drink 2 litres of water by the time that I've finished swimming. I then might have a whole Galia melon, followed by porridge, made with Organic Oatly, which is an oat based (non-dairy) milk, with no added sugar, salt, lactose or cholesterol, etc and have 3 sliced organic bananas with that.
Yesterday, I also had another couple of bananas, a couple of organic apples, a lovely juicy pear and also around 20 medjool dates, which I seem to becoming addicted to! Before my evening meal, I ate a whole packet of raw spinach, which was 200g and then has some penne pasta with a low fat sauce. I seem to be eating more than ever but am eating so much healthier than I have ever done and am honestly feeling better than I can ever remember.
Whether, in time, I'll be able to go 100% raw, I'm not absolutely certain because I do very much enjoy vegetable and tomato soups and also enjoy cooked pasta but the shift in diet, in such a short space of time, has been immense and completely life-changing!
I've never been a big fan of nuts and so will hopefully not fall into the trap of consuming too much fat or protein in my diet, as a very new vegan. I've also managed to cut out alcohol, chocolate, tea and coffee, from my diet, as well as the dreaded Pepsi, which was a huge problem for me. I know that a lot of people will proably laugh at that but it was honestly, a very serious problem for me. Sometimes, I would literally have cold sweats and shakes, if I didn't have one or two bottles of Pepsi, in a day which would also have consisted of at least 3 or 4 chocolate bars too, plus lots of sweets!
Watching the film/documentary 'Earthlings', changed my life and I decided, there and then, that I would never again be part of the cruelty to animals, that as a meat eater, I had been part of, my whole life. I feel very embarrassed that I was so ignorant, for so long but am now actively encouaging my family and friends, to take a very serious look, at their own food choices. Personally, I am now totally committed to never consuming meat or dairy, ever again. It has been a huge shift for me because I've probably always lived my life, going from sugar fix to sugar fix, or caffeine fix to caffeine fix.
My father died last year and I certainly fell out of love with life, drowning my sorrows in too much red wine and psychologically accepting the fact that because I missed my Dad so much and that he was such a great inspiration and mentor to me, my whole life, that life would always be bitter/sweet in future, no matter how good things are/were...
Learning about nutrition and taking it seriously, for the first time in my life, has now had so many postive effects and I can only thank, wholeheartedly, all
ok here it goes-my testemony.
two years ago weighed 194 now 150. cholestorol 190 now 148. blood pressure was 138 over 100 now 105 over 60. my run was 1 and 1/2 miles long and took over 31 minutes. now i can run up pikes peak to bar camp and back -over 18miles! I crave smoothies all the time and feel so so so so so good after eating them. my wife's love and pinapples saved my life!
Comment by Johana Hyland on January 12, 2012 at 1:15am Wow! Just weighed myself ive lost 6kg so far this is amazing! Before and after pics coming soon :D
This is after 7 weeks of LFRV and working out about 4 times per week. I don't have any before photos that show just how fat and out of shape I was but trust me...I have lost two sizes and I'm still going strong. I have had a few LF cooked vegan meals but that's how I made it through the holidays. It's getting easier every day!
Watermelon is my Favorite food by far but, still packing in the bananas and dates, etc...
