I am Vegan and enjoying it for slightly over a year.  Fresh fruits and veggies are plentiful but now I've located a good source for organic produce with free delivery.

My name is Cindy  and I have been an on and off vegan my whole life, due to the push back from my family and friends I was never committed to be 100%  vegan and would always go back to eating chicken and fish(never beef, turkey, lamb and pork though). Not a long time ago all of a sudden I started to have pelvic bleeding when playing sports or doing any kind of physical activities. My period became very heavy and painful. I was having a lot of really bad breakouts, I couldn't sleep, I was exhausted, my hair was thinning out, my weight for the first time in my life was going up, not much but I think only because of how active I am(I have been always skinny or sometimes underweight but not by choice, I just couldn't put on the weight). I went to the doctor  and told me I had a cyst on my left ovary and that I also had fibroids in my uterus wall. He immediately suggested I start taking birth control pills and if that didn’t work the next thing would be to try some kind of laser surgery to remove the cyst and fibroids and if that still didn’t work that I would need to get a hysterectomy. I remember he even tried pushing me to say that I was depressed so that he could give me antidepressants. That day I left the doctor’s office very scared and frustrated and I never went back, I knew I did not want to start taking pills and/or putting any kind of chemicals in my body. I knew that since I have always been very active, not overweight, never done any kind of drugs or alcohol that the problem was in the food I was consuming. My body was practically crying out for help so I started to think, what had I changed within the past couple of years for my body to start acting up? It did not take me long to realize that of course from all the trash that we get told constantly every day we eventually start believing it and doing what they say. Before I never really worried too much about consuming enough protein but of course the tv, radio and everybody started saying how much we need it in order for us to not lose our muscle mass and blah, blah, blah so I started to drink protein shakes after my workouts and eat more fish. I also remember one day receiving a call from my mother just to tell me that she had seen on TV that is very important to drink milk according to a new study. At that time I was not drinking milk or consuming any dairy(I just have never been a fan of it) but again I listened to my mother and my mother listened to the so called experts on TV and the media and I started to consume dairy. I did everything to try to purify and detoxify my body, I drank alkaline water, did the apple cider vinegar thing, bikram yoga, detoxifying wraps you name it, I did it all. Nothing worked I was still tired, having breakouts and still bleeding. I stumbled across freelee’s YouTube channel and it was like removing a blindfold from my eyes. I knew from the moment I saw her video that this was the way we are meant to live. I have been following the Rawtill4 lifestyle for a while now and I am happy to tell you that my body is back to normal. I have no more bleeding when exercising, my skin is slowly clearing out, although I never really gained that much weight but 7 pouds at the most I noticed my body fat percentage is going down and I am back at my normal 115-118 weight, my energy is back and best of all, the mass in my breast, the fibroids and the cyst are all gone, the doctor could not figure out what happened so he decided to name them systematic cyst, fibroids and mass (he is just so full of s….if you ask me…lol). This lifestyle has allowed me to be free of illness and full of energy again hence the urgent need that I felt to create my channel and page to spread the word.  I’m grateful for the things that I have learned from Freelee and I agree one hundred percent with her teachings.  Thank you very much!

I had renal failure in 2004. My whole body swole up with over 100lbs. of water weight over night. In 2012 I was diagnosed with diabetes. My glucose has been up at 180 daily regardless of healthy eating (conventional), and at first when I was diagnosed it would go up to 550. I tried many diets to approach a healthy lifestyle. Over a month ago (on 4/30/14), my doctor told me I needed to lose weight because I was 320lbs. 5'7" and 29yrs old. Over a month ago I came across "The Banana Girl", at first I thought she was a fake propaganda girl. So I began to watch her youtube videos and saw she was the opposite. As of 6/18/14 I am down 18lbs. with Raw Till 4 vegan lifestyle. My glucose in the morning is between 83-93. My blood pressure was 132/92 (4/30/14), now its 107/70 (6/17/14). I am amazed with this lifestlye, I like it and plan on remaining on it. Lastly I am trying to get back into bodybuilding, but as a vegan.

This is only after 4.5 months guys. So not very long but there are some results! I was a tiny bit chubby in midsection and arms, restricting for the  most part. My stomach and arms are tighter and more toned now. I am 5 ft 8 139 lbs now and working on going down to 130. I eat around 3000 calories per day and just started working out/exercising a month ago. I can now run 1.5 miles without stopping, just by being fueled on bananas. I don't run because I have to to lose weight, I do it solely because I am jumping off the walls with energy and health. I used to never ever dream of running, hardly had any energy and felt lethargic all the time. I did gain 5 pounds in the beginning but that is because I was starving myself before and my metabolism had to start fixing itself! The more I eat now, the leaner I feel and more energy I have!

Importance of sleep  and rest. Few month ago I started discussion on my husband high triglycerides level. Blood work was done when we'd been already into raw law fat for a couple of years. This came as a surprise since his cholesterol was good (before it was high). So he consulted dr.Graham whose advise was as simple as getting more sleep. Now he tries to get some naps when possible. Result  is triglycerides went back to almost normal level and doctor said it's not a concern anymore.

Just want to say thanks to Freelee, Durianrider Princess Neets and everyone on this site.

I'm battling PCOS, Fibromyalgia, weight issues (proper lard ass! 72kg 5'3), and infertility. Recently I've upped the raw massively and the carbs, Im currently eating waaaay more than usual.

I made lots of 'newbie 'mistakes with too many oils, nuts etc.. on the vegan thing, so was happy when I stumbled across this site. I found DR and FL after Dan, Matt and David (fakers)

I can now enjoy working out, after HATING it for years. My weight is going down fast, and I'm happier than ever.

I smashed out 1 hour on a treadmill this morning, and bloody loved it! Trust me that's not something I've ever said or felt!!

Got yoga tomorrow night, and an insanity class the day after. IM ON FIRE!

I've battled friends and family too who think you are all mad, and so am I.

However with the new light in my eyes (AKA ENERGY!) and kindness in my heart I am showing them by living as an example!

Namaste you beautiful people. :) x

My hubby likes this new way a lot!! So I Will join him soon!

@Kate Florio

> The only reason I add organic unrefined sugar to my smoothie is as you've guessed it, to make it more sweeter. Often, I don't have the time to wait for bananas to first ripen properly, so I end up adding them in the blender even though they don't have any spots on them. So that's why the sugar is there (and of course the extra glycogen ^_^ for more energy) - -If I don't add sugar, I end up adding dates in the blender <- which is probably MUCH more beneficial.

That's about it to be honest ^_^ - - Durianrider adds massive amounts of sugar to his smoothie, so I just follow his example like a boss. Eat what the skinny people like Freelee and Durianrider eat. Don't listen to the fat people telling you sugar makes you fat. ^_^

Howdy there!

I would like to just post here my journey so far. ^_^

When I started 2 months ago {can't believe it's already 2 months :D} I weighed 113kg. I jogged religiously everyday, even if it was at a snail's pace, I was being constant, and increasing my mileage as I feel more confident in my body. I'm currently doing 2.5km slow jogging a day. I am a raw till four person, so in the evening, I chow rice {potatoes I eat on weekends watching anime or while I'm drawing} - - Today, I weighed just in under 90kg. That's almost 23kg lost. I don't undercarb at all and I try to reach 2500 - 3000 cals a day. My family think I'm insane eating 15 bananas in a smoothie with half a cup organic sugar. And then I laugh how they keep quiet after I tell them how much weight I've lost by carbing up daily and being constant in exercise.

When I reach my goal within the next few months {which is below 70kg} I'll post before and after photos of how the HCV lifestyle {not a diet :P } change my life.

(note: My brother also started on vegan lifestyle with me at the same time. He started at 148kg and is now 121.8 kg!)

If you loose friends because of a choice you made to better yourself and your health then they were never your friends to begin with. A true friend will lift you up and push you towards success. :)

Barbequing myself a heartattack on the cost of another beings life VS. Carbing up on a plant based, abuntante, cruelty free diet with minimal exercise (maximal healing).

Comment by Airin Oluwapelumi on April 10, 2014 at 3:57am

Hello everyone, my name is Airin I've been raw till 4 for about 3 months now and before that I was vegetarian. My life has been an up and down roll coaster of battling with my weight and my emotional state. Although its not currently perfect in the past three months I can honestly say I feel more connected physically and emotionally. I've lost an outstanding 80lbs in 15 weeks and still have about another 80lbs to go before I'm at a healthy sustainable weight. Yes thats right I was almost 300lbs when I started :( BUT not anymore.  Freelee has been such an inspiration I can honestly say her investment into this community, advice, enthusiasm, and honesty has contributed to saving my life. I started sharing my journey on YouTube, Facebook, and twitter so if people were interested in following me on this journey or perhaps joining in if they were experiencing some of the same difficulties then it was available to them.  I don't have very many followers or views because I did just start it, and who knows if I will ever get a lot, but my motive is not to make money off of this or to become famous I just want to help people, if I can help save just one person I would be happy with that, (of course my motive is to help millions).  I currently am studying to become a RDN (Registered Dietitian) and one of my biggest dreams is to own my own clinic and non profit organization.  Helping people is something I've always done well, and cant wait to make a career out of it.  I should have my degree this December and can start making moves.  My profile picture is the most recent picture I have of my weight loss on the left you'll see me at my biggest on the 16th of Dec and on the right you will see me as of the 16h of march. 3 months down a life time to go!! :)

This was me in June at the peak of my bulky bodybuilder phase before deciding to switch to fitness modeling

Comment by Adam Berger on March 27, 2014 at 11:16am

Hello vegan community! My name is Adam and I would like to share a snippet of my story with you on being naive, learning lessons, being grateful, but ultimately obtaining revelation and insight through which I acquired a burning passion to help others in conquests of personal health and development. The essence of this story is to provide just a small addition to the ever compounding evidence and testimonials of the amazing healing and nourishing benefits of the vegan lifestyle. So let me start at the beginning in terms of relevance, at age 14 and a sophmore in high school I became overly consumed in the hollow aura of narcissism. It is not uncommon for high schoolers to become self centered and overly conscious on their appearance as we have such an unhealthy obsession with it in this country but I was one of the few who took the boundaries and kept pushing. I was at this time in a dream sequence of desire to become a model or some sort of figure who's livelihood revolved around the manifestation of physical appearance. In the second semester I became infatuated with bodybuilding and quickly became a fan of my first role model in the field, Frank McGrath. I mean no disrespect to Mr. McGrath or any of the bodybuilders who became my role models for the proceeding 3.5 years I just want to give an in depth explanation of how this time period evolved. I watched all of Frank's videos (He is sponsored by Universal (Animal) supplement company) and became quickly inspired to amplify my musculature to one of extreme development. I should first mention however that this also followed a very hard break up in which a girl I loved cheated on me with my closest friend of 5 years. I did not have ample control of my emotions at this time and let anger fuel the exalt of this individual and allowed hatred to enter me. I became fueled with the idea of being ever prepared for the moment in which I could see him and engage in physical conflict to fully exorcise my rage and began intense weight training as a result. This individual avoided me like the plague (I threatened him blatantly with what I wished to do with him on the night of the occurrence) as I kept building myself. It was during this time that I was introduced to Frank McGrath and I eventually let go of my original motive and steered more so into the realms of building myself to be a bodybuilder. I still held onto my original motive as a means of driving force but I became more interested in my own evolution into the world of bodybuilding. Eventually that individual and I worked out our matters peacefully and my motives became fully geared toward bodybuilding, I was now (summer time going into junior year) convinced that I wanted to be a pro bodybuilder/Mr. Olympia as my profession. I was inspired by men such as Ronnie Coleman, Jay Cutler, and Phil Heath. Fast forward to the summer going into senior year I began my early dabble in PED's. I started out with pro hormones (precursors to steroids) and played with these throughout my senior year of high school. Toward the end of my senior year in April I got on the needle with Testosterone mixed with some pro hormones. By the end of my senior year I bulked up to a solid 220 lbs. In June I decided I no longer wanted to become Mr. Olympia because while I was doing steroids and some other peptides and chemicals such as Clenbuterol I was not fond of the notion of using certain drugs such as Insulin (which almost all of the top level pros use). I decided instead I would like to lean out and do fitness modeling instead and have a physique more tune to individuals such as Steve Cook. I knew steroids were still involved in this ring of bodybuilding but they did not partake in the use of heavier drugs such as high doses of HGH, insulin, IGF-1 ect. So I managed to cut down to about 180-185 and got quite ripped. I started gaining a lot of female attention and this time was honestly enjoyable.
