This lifestyle helped me say 'f*** you' to calorie restriction, kick an ED in the ass and made me happy and healthy all while not blowing me up like a balloon! Like many people I came to this lifestyle after rigorous calorie restriction and self loathing, basing my worth on what the scale said. But all that changed when I found this lifestyle - it WORKS. Give it a fair go, your health is worth it.

I have been trying to be raw till 4 for a couple weeks now. Since I am still at home (i'm 15) I can't really get access to fruits. I have all the apples I want, but about every week my parents load up on the fruit and about Wednesday it's gone. So the rest of the week I eat rice, potatoes, apples, lettuce, blueberries, raseberries, and whatever I can get my hand on that is Vegan. I feel energized, but since I live in farming country, everyone is against veganism. They love their home made heart attack potion, so their negativity get to me. It's awkward for me when someone jokes about veganism and how everyone is so gaunt and unhealthy looking, blah, blah, blah... I haven't told anyone that I am vegan, or else I would be attacked and I have nothing, it's only me here, but I LOVE RAW TILL 4!!!!!! I feel great, happy and energetic! I have not fallen sick yet and everyone else has some sort of cold, cough, or flu. :-)

Above is me 24 sept, 2014. 5 foot 10 and about 208 pounds.  I was eating anything and everything.  Simply, I found DR on youtube, went raw, got active (swimming, cycling, running, in moderation).

Below is me in July 2015. So about 10 months and 60 pounds lighter (148).

If it wasn't for the logic bombs dropped daily by DR I would never of did it.  So thanks.

I cannot even begin to explain how much my life has changed since finding this lifestyle. I have made some of the best decisions of my life in the 6 or so months that I have been hclf vegan. Up till last May of this year I was on a varsity volleyball team. I was a first year persuing sciences, and had absolutely no life other than schoolwork, practice, team training, and fundraising. The coach and the whole team atmosphere were things that I couldn't stand to be around. There was so much drama and girl issues, and I couldn't bear listening to people's minuscule problems anymore. All of my hobbies, dreams, and family connections went out the door for those 10 months. In addition, I was struggling with an eating disorder that I'd had since I was 14, and was constantly worrying about my lack of time to workout. I was super stressed out, and felt like I had no life and no time to even think about what I actually needed. Then I found rawtill4 which was amazing! I tried it out a few times during our season and had some serious/actually pretty funny bloating issues from bad food combing. But regardless I really liked the lifestyle and the energy it gave me. Then when I fully pursued it over the winter holidays, I remember asking myself all of these questions to do with the people I was surrounded by, and how I didn't actually enjoy any of my classes. Eating so abundantly and worry free made me so happy and excited to start the rest of my life. And I realized that there was no point in putting so much time and effort into things that I didn't really care for. So I quit the team, and applied for schooling somewhere else, and oh man I'm still patting myself on the back for that one. I've made so many other changes in addition to that, and don't regret any of them. I can't be more happy to have found this lifestyle. I honestly feel so smart for choosing to live this way haha. Now I eat 3000+ calories a day, and train only when I feel like it. Honestly I initially went hclf vegan for the health benefits, even though I'd at times felt uncomfortable eating meat. But now living this way and educating myself about animal cruelty, I can really see how much sense this lifestyle makes and how beneficial it is to all living things.

Straight out of rehab for crack, heroin and methadone addiction, I started to change my eating habits and gave up a 40 a day smoking habit, went onto a high protein low carb diet, lot's of chicken breasts, eggs, tuna, cheese, spinach, joined gym, lost water weight but no real meaningful improvement in health and appearance.

After about 8 months because of the low carb i started drinking heavily which is odd as despite my passion for intoxicating substances I've never been much of a drinker, came close to a full relapse and i basically went completely of the deep end, i mean completely of my melon, toyed with suicide and just had a complete breakdown, but ultimately did not want to go back to heavy drugs as I knew that probably meant death within months.

After a few na meetings which wasn't doing anything for me sadly, I came across some raw vegan type vids one night and it somehow appealed to me and seemed to make instant sense, all i wanted to do was be healthy and feel good and I had nothing to lose so I went for it from the get go, 40+ bananas a day plus a cooked meal at the end and I felt relief over night, the drug cravings went, the depression lifted, drinking stopped, I felt like a different person.

The fact is If i had not come across some ozzy youtuber and started to eat copious amounts of fruit when I did I'm pretty sure I'd be dead like most of my junkie friends from a heroin overdose a long time ago and I'm extremely grateful for that, plus I'd be a lot fatter which is a nice bonus.

Before, weight was 16 stone, (224 pounds)

After, weight is 12 stone (164 pounds):

I had A LOT of body fat on my gut but the bulk of it's gone since raw till 4:

I've been r24 since june 2014, I've healed up pretty nicely and feel INCREDIBLE, more recently I've leaned more on 100% raw but doing raw till 4 is what I've been doing until recently. Being totally raw though really helps because of the years of drug abuse I don't have many endorphin's floating about and generally feel a lot lower than most, cycling also helps with this a lot also, especially long distances.

Only on day three and even with a few beginner trips and stumbles, i'm already feeling better, and getting my boyfriend to eat healthier too. ^_^

I absolutely LOVE being a high carb low fat Vegan, it has truly changed my life forever. I will never go back from this because I feel so incredible and I know not only is it benefiting the earth and the animals but also myself. I am so grateful that I have found this lifestyle and wish that everybody on this earth would join all of us.

I went vegan about a year and a half ago. I admit I got into it for the heath benefits but after educating myself more on the ethical and environmental aspect of it, now its more about saving animals and less about myself. When I started I was still eating processed food like frozen vegan pizzas, fake meats etc. But once I went high card, high raw, plant based (raw till 4) I started to feel so much better and my energy has been so high which is good because I am a triathlete and I workout a lot! I live in Orange County CA so if there are any other vegans out there in that area I'd love to meet up! Peace :)

I healed my chronic psoriasis of twelve years on Raw til 4, I couldn't be more grateful. Seeing your skin change before your eyes and giving you your life back is an amazing feeling.

Hi everyone! I just started banana island today and am nomming on #3 as I type.

I'm so excited. My body feels so trashed right now. I just got done with a 21 day fix group where I was encouraged to drink protein shakes as meal replacers. Not good stuff. I'm ready to listen to my body and carb the f*** up!

Hey, yal! I'm Justina, I've been wanting to become a vegan about two years now! Watching Freelee and Kristina motivated me highly! But, i was in love with icecream, poptarts, cookies, CHIPS, fries! That was my diet. For some reason, I always hated eating chicken, beef, hamburgers and all that bad junk your stomach can't digest properly. 4 years ago, I wouldn't really eat meat, just things that may contain it, like false chicken nuggets from the school cafeteria, taco bell, mcdonald nuggets. My sophomore year, I decided to become a Pescatarian. I only ate fish strictly as my main protein source, beans, DAIRY PRODUCTS, eggs, nuts.. but I honestly never ate much of anything that was suppose to keep me healthy. Like I said, my diet is nothing but candy, icecream chips and cookies. Fries .. In the middle of my pescatarian year, i ran across Kristina, & freelee.. I was inspired by them I wanted to give veganism a try. Letting go of sushi, fish, poptarts.. Easy breezy! But certain candies, fries, icecream, chips.. COOKIES. Nah. I couldn't let that go! I went Vegetarian. I'm slowly trying to become a vegan. Yesterday marked my Last day of Vegetarianism. It took me two weeks to let go of candies, chips, & cookies. FRIES/ICECREAM! DX Of course with the gradual transition to veganism. I'm serious and set on becoming a vegan. I will participate in the Raw til 4 vegan lifestyle. Please wish me luck! I'm highly motivated, but badly pressured in my household, and school/work social life! Im accepting friends request! And great motivational people! I want to drop lbs and be mentally/physically healthy!! I will take everyone's advice! Btw, I am at age 17, soon to be 18! :D

Hello All,

So let me start by saying that I come from a position of terrible health issues. for the last 10 years I was in and out of the drs office. On disability home in bed sooooo sick and back to work on and off back and forth. The last 8 years have some of the hardest in my life. I followed the drs orders took meds that i felt weren't working was diagnosed with depression, diagnosed with ulcers, irritable bowel, had a hysterectomy and cholecystectomy (my gallbladder was removed when it became gangrenous). I had enough. One day i decided to take everything out of my diet and see what was cause the sever digestive issue. So I when on a juice fast. Well after 4 days i was cranky tired irritable, and feeling worse. So i went on the fat sick and nearly dead site in in the corner of the website was a advertisement for going vegan. I though I'll be able to eat again and still remove all the junk? hmm i'm in. so over 18 month i lost 60 lbs and was happier and healthier than ever. When i lost my job and we had to choose between lights and food. Staying vegan wasn't a choice we hwere worried about if this month would be the month we lost our home. I still stayed as close to vegas possible . Somehow that didn't make me feel any better. We a few months ago I started working again and immediately came back to my vegan lifelstyle and and going through the difficulties of stretching my stomach again grr. However I feel soo much better. I've made mistake but I've also made progress for the positive. Thank you Freely and durian for showing me that I don't have to live in pain or harm innocent animal to be healthy. I still have a long way to go but i feel it getting easier and more exciting everyday.
