Hi everyone! I just started banana island today and am nomming on #3 as I type.

I'm so excited. My body feels so trashed right now. I just got done with a 21 day fix group where I was encouraged to drink protein shakes as meal replacers. Not good stuff. I'm ready to listen to my body and carb the f*** up!

Hey, yal! I'm Justina, I've been wanting to become a vegan about two years now! Watching Freelee and Kristina motivated me highly! But, i was in love with icecream, poptarts, cookies, CHIPS, fries! That was my diet. For some reason, I always hated eating chicken, beef, hamburgers and all that bad junk your stomach can't digest properly. 4 years ago, I wouldn't really eat meat, just things that may contain it, like false chicken nuggets from the school cafeteria, taco bell, mcdonald nuggets. My sophomore year, I decided to become a Pescatarian. I only ate fish strictly as my main protein source, beans, DAIRY PRODUCTS, eggs, nuts.. but I honestly never ate much of anything that was suppose to keep me healthy. Like I said, my diet is nothing but candy, icecream chips and cookies. Fries .. In the middle of my pescatarian year, i ran across Kristina, & freelee.. I was inspired by them I wanted to give veganism a try. Letting go of sushi, fish, poptarts.. Easy breezy! But certain candies, fries, icecream, chips.. COOKIES. Nah. I couldn't let that go! I went Vegetarian. I'm slowly trying to become a vegan. Yesterday marked my Last day of Vegetarianism. It took me two weeks to let go of candies, chips, & cookies. FRIES/ICECREAM! DX Of course with the gradual transition to veganism. I'm serious and set on becoming a vegan. I will participate in the Raw til 4 vegan lifestyle. Please wish me luck! I'm highly motivated, but badly pressured in my household, and school/work social life! Im accepting friends request! And great motivational people! I want to drop lbs and be mentally/physically healthy!! I will take everyone's advice! Btw, I am at age 17, soon to be 18! :D

Hello All,

So let me start by saying that I come from a position of terrible health issues. for the last 10 years I was in and out of the drs office. On disability home in bed sooooo sick and back to work on and off back and forth. The last 8 years have some of the hardest in my life. I followed the drs orders took meds that i felt weren't working was diagnosed with depression, diagnosed with ulcers, irritable bowel, had a hysterectomy and cholecystectomy (my gallbladder was removed when it became gangrenous). I had enough. One day i decided to take everything out of my diet and see what was cause the sever digestive issue. So I when on a juice fast. Well after 4 days i was cranky tired irritable, and feeling worse. So i went on the fat sick and nearly dead site in in the corner of the website was a advertisement for going vegan. I though I'll be able to eat again and still remove all the junk? hmm i'm in. so over 18 month i lost 60 lbs and was happier and healthier than ever. When i lost my job and we had to choose between lights and food. Staying vegan wasn't a choice we hwere worried about if this month would be the month we lost our home. I still stayed as close to vegas possible . Somehow that didn't make me feel any better. We a few months ago I started working again and immediately came back to my vegan lifelstyle and and going through the difficulties of stretching my stomach again grr. However I feel soo much better. I've made mistake but I've also made progress for the positive. Thank you Freely and durian for showing me that I don't have to live in pain or harm innocent animal to be healthy. I still have a long way to go but i feel it getting easier and more exciting everyday.

I am very new to all of this, actually doing it at least. I come from a Hispanic family who consumes animal products on the daily. I'm looking for a change for my health and my mind. Right now I'm weighing 168 and have little by little been cutting out dairy, cheese and meats especially. I'm hopeful and determined. Thank you freelee for opening my eyes!
Comment by Chuck Gangahar on February 2, 2015 at 10:53am

I lost 14lbs in 12-months. I weighed 190lbs a year ago, now I'm down to 176 consistently. It's pretty cool now that I don't even crave coffee in the mornings. I saved a lot of money this year too b/c giving up meat products, dairy products, etc. Even though I was frustrated with not losing more weight - there have been other positive side effects of the rawtil4 lifestyle which I didn't really expect. The biggest one is now I actually have the energy and motivation to start up a blog, youtube channel and do lots of things which I had been procrastinating before. For example, I thought about joining 30bad over a year ago but just kept avoiding it!! Haha how moronic that was! I guess the old way of thinking was that I needed to do everything alone and without help. Now I want to contribute my knowledge to the people on this lifestyle especially those who are just starting out because I am going through the same things that other people are.

Outstanding Jordan!

Comment by Jordan Nicole on January 31, 2015 at 10:15am

Like so many here I have been unhealthy and I am still working towards a better me. I now think we can always continue to improve on ourselves no mater where we are in life. I have lost 25 pounds since becoming vegan and it has taken a year. I know many people consider that slow but I know it is right for me and I can finally accept that.

I will not bore you with all the details but I can give a simple run down on my health the last 24 years. I have been bulimic since I was 8 years old or younger. I hid it and never told a soul until I finally told my husband 6 months ago. I finally decided to do something about it and I am 30 days in to no binging and purging and I see the future bright and clear! I just told myself I do not have to do that anymore and it was a weight off my shoulders.

I have been sick most of my life with constant body aches, extreme bowel issues, cystic acne, painful monthly cycles, and stomach aches. I had sore throats to the point of 2 tonsillectomies in my teens. I had pains and bleeding in my ear for 2 years until doctors found a tumor which took 2 surgeries at over 7 hours each and left me with no hearing in my right ear.

My only wish is that I had found this lifestyle sooner. Many of my problems have cleared up. My skin looks better, my stomach and bowels are doing better than I ever knew possible, my cycle is finally regular (although still painful), and I have even changed my views on life! I was obsessed with having the best of everything and wasting my money. I no longer have those urges to buy the hottest new makeup palettes every week or get my hair died monthly. I still love to get dressed up and do my makeup. But I am happy using the same things over and over instead of buying something new for every occasion.  I am so much happier with who I am now that I do not have to seek those things out.

I know I have a road ahead that does not end as long as I live but for once that road is filled with adventures, health, and memories instead of being bogged down with an abundance of material items and sickness.

Whilst on the topic of weight, My mum said "I don't know why your having trouble loosing weight you don't eat badly". Well it just goes to show that what the majority of people consider good is not really. Sure I rarely ate takeaway, nor deep fried foods and avoided red meat, but after this comment was made which also sparked the realisation that ...hey yeah it's not normal to constantly feel bloated and still be chubby after eating what is considered a fairly decent diet.

My research lead me to Freelee and I lost 20kg in one year, most of it within 9mths, weight loss has slowed down as if not as much to loose and I feel fantastic. My brother said this is the best I have ever looked.

Thanks Freelee! I cannot thank you enough. Although I don't feel the need for your eBook as I've watched all your Vlogs I bought it anyway just to give back, and I'm sure I will learn new stuff also.

I have a health problem that affects my nervous system.  It's something I was born with and is progressive.  Luckily for me I have always been active and health conscious so physically healthy.  Over the past 5 years the nerve condition has been deteriorating quickly but due to my physical health I have been able to cope better than expected.  I have been vegetarian for 20+ years and sadly, only became vegan a year ago.  I don't know what took me so long but I could kick myself for not making the change earlier.  Because I have been able to do less and less physically, I have been looking for better ways to treat my body and stumbled upon rawtill4.  It's the best thing that't happened to me.  I originally became vegetarian because of my love for all animals and was ashamed when I looked further into the cruelty in the dairy industry so became vegan, now I'm following this program I have much more energy and don't have the huge energy crashes that had bee plaguing me.  I am go grateful for all the fantastic nutritional facts that others share on the forum.  The last few months have been a educational experience that I am so thankful for.  Thank you everyone, if only more people would embrace this lifestyle instead of ridiculing it.

I found this lifestyle through my friend Kodiak who is a high carb low fat raw vegan. Let me tell you about myself before this lifestyle. I have always been a active individual. I have always loved running and ran around 15 miles a week along with P90X daily, but then I had jaw surgery. I wasn't able to be active for a year because of this. I went from 170 pounds up to 187. After this I just wasn't really feeling motivated to workout and always craved sweets. Then around November of last year I started running and lifting again, but still wasn't getting the results I wanted. At the beginning of this year I started RT4 and within week in a noticed a lot. My skin started clearing, my energy levels were at a all time peak. I myself was feeling the best I ever have. I now have gone from 185 pounds in the beginning of January to now being 150 pounds. I am in the best shape I have been in my life and my energy, but as well recovery time is off the chart. I am now running an average of 40 miles a week, but as well still doing my P90X workouts cause I enjoy them. I eat until I'm satisfied and trust me I pack in the carbs. I swear I just keep getting leaner and leaner. My passion for running and this lifestyle now has gotten me to be the happiest I have. Thank you Durianrider and Freelee. I have been now even spreading the word and telling people what I do.
