I have a health problem that affects my nervous system.  It's something I was born with and is progressive.  Luckily for me I have always been active and health conscious so physically healthy.  Over the past 5 years the nerve condition has been deteriorating quickly but due to my physical health I have been able to cope better than expected.  I have been vegetarian for 20+ years and sadly, only became vegan a year ago.  I don't know what took me so long but I could kick myself for not making the change earlier.  Because I have been able to do less and less physically, I have been looking for better ways to treat my body and stumbled upon rawtill4.  It's the best thing that't happened to me.  I originally became vegetarian because of my love for all animals and was ashamed when I looked further into the cruelty in the dairy industry so became vegan, now I'm following this program I have much more energy and don't have the huge energy crashes that had bee plaguing me.  I am go grateful for all the fantastic nutritional facts that others share on the forum.  The last few months have been a educational experience that I am so thankful for.  Thank you everyone, if only more people would embrace this lifestyle instead of ridiculing it.

In November of 2013 I reached my peak weight at 131 pounds. At the time I was 5"3 and was 13 years old. I used to follow those "5 minute workout videos" which isn't bad, but they did nothing. I was fat, had lovehandles, and stretch marks on my legs and back. Everytime I would change I would go into the bathroom. In late November, I started a cleansing diet. Basically a Fad, 700 calorie a day diet. In December I started running, I ran about a mile or two everyday despite my terrible unclean diet. In of 2014, I found a video by a girl who was talking about Shaycarls weight gain. I was a big shaytards fan, but I agreed with nearly everything that girl had to say. I checked out her channel more and began to learn from it. For lent, I gave up red meat and coke. I lost around 5Lbs in a month. I felt great. In september I gave up chicken and all dairy products. I got back into running and as you can see from my profile picture I just ran the 2014 NYC Marathon in 4:37:21. In the time I gave up meat I lost 30 pounds and have a lean stomach and when I flex I can see a six pack. SO THANK YOU FREELEE AND HARLEY.

I found this lifestyle through my friend Kodiak who is a high carb low fat raw vegan. Let me tell you about myself before this lifestyle. I have always been a active individual. I have always loved running and ran around 15 miles a week along with P90X daily, but then I had jaw surgery. I wasn't able to be active for a year because of this. I went from 170 pounds up to 187. After this I just wasn't really feeling motivated to workout and always craved sweets. Then around November of last year I started running and lifting again, but still wasn't getting the results I wanted. At the beginning of this year I started RT4 and within week in a noticed a lot. My skin started clearing, my energy levels were at a all time peak. I myself was feeling the best I ever have. I now have gone from 185 pounds in the beginning of January to now being 150 pounds. I am in the best shape I have been in my life and my energy, but as well recovery time is off the chart. I am now running an average of 40 miles a week, but as well still doing my P90X workouts cause I enjoy them. I eat until I'm satisfied and trust me I pack in the carbs. I swear I just keep getting leaner and leaner. My passion for running and this lifestyle now has gotten me to be the happiest I have. Thank you Durianrider and Freelee. I have been now even spreading the word and telling people what I do.

Fresh off the nasty meat wagon and slowly but surely getting on the HIGH CARB RAW VEGAN lifestyle :) Very very excited yet nervous about this. This week (i HOPE) I'll be going to going grocery shopping for my first week of the 30-day Raw Till 4 challenge! I downloaded and printed out Freelee's 7 day meal and exercise plan, made a grocery shopping list of all the fruit/veg I'll need for a week, made a detailed explanation of every meal I'm going eat with its cooking instructions... I've finally done it the organized way instead of being a hot mess as I usually am hahah. Like I said, I'm both nervous and excited to see how this all goes... But I think mostly excited :) Can't wait to post before and after photos, share my feelings/symptoms/changes. Aside from feeling great from the inside out, I'm very much looking forward to hopefully seeing changes in my fat percentage (I want it to decrease) and also hopefully get clearer skin. To those of you who did the 30day RT4 challenge, how was your experience like? I want to know everything!

Wow, a bit earlier the year in the comments I posted [Comment by Bernard De Klerk on April 23, 2014 at 1:11am]  that I was 90kg. Today I'm sitting at 74kg - oh how time flies when you're vegan and losing weight <3

Ive had crohns since i was 11, had an eating disorder when i was 15, been living the vegan life for 5 months now without my mom knowing. Im scared to tell her because she thinks its an eating disorder. since eating this way ALL my symptoms have vanished. she thinks its magic, and she right it is.... this life style is magic. I NEED TO HEAR FROM OTHER CROHNIES!!!!!!!  for times and i need to show her the proof this helps the disease!!

The pasta the pasta the pasta. Forget about what others are eating successfully and start using your body as your experiment.  I will bet you if you drop all rice, pasta and potatoes you will see improvements within 7 days.  If you feel the need for some density , soak some seeds and use as a dressing every few days.  Step up the vegies, cooked or otherwise and things will shift.

Thank You,
Seriously started the Raw til 4 January 29, 2014 . Six months later, 55 lbs lighter, blood pressure normal without bp medication, cholesterol levels are reduced, and I feel great. I have lots more energy, sleep and awaken faster with easy. I'm exercising daily, gaining stamina and strength.
Raw Vegan Life is the one for me.
Namaste :-)

Where to start, I guess at the beginning.
I like many of you was taught that meat, fish and dairy were things that are good for you, it was only when I started to see videos of animal cruelty ie medical experiments and the testing of cosmetics along with videos of starving children in Africa did I come to understand the suffering that was going on in the world. That was about 18 years ago when I was 13, I stopped using products tested on animals wherever possible because for everyone you buy that's one they make and always popped my spare change in the charity box in the grocery store. As the years went on I became more aware of the impacts we have on the planet, such as deforestation, intensive farming, horrible animal testing and climate change. I thought that buying products not tested on animals, buying free-range organic meat and walking to my local grocery store rather than driving was enough and adequate. HOW WRONG was I! Through misinformation and lack of education I had became a corporate pawn, mindlessly slogging through life, buying things I didn't need and taking things from the planet I had no right in taking.

My lifestyle change happened quite recently, In four years I had put on 3 stone in weight and was feeling miserable. The reason for the weight gain was simple, I had stopped exercising and my diet was crap, drinking beer most nights of the week, eating chocolate, high fat foods like curries, pizzas and lots of meat and cheese, and to top it off drinking a few energy drinks just so I had the energy to do my job. So I decided to get in shape, I started cycling to work, well I tried, the motivation was there but I just didn't have the energy, I thought maybe if I get a road bike it would be a little easier to pedal and a lot quicker to get work, so that's what I did, I bought a road bike, and it was a hell of a lot easier to get to work on but I was still struggling!

With cycling not getting any easier I thought I would go on YouTube to look for some Cycling Tips videos, I watched a few and came across this scruffy Aussie called Durianrider, I watched the video, enjoyed it and started watched more of his cycling videos and subscribed to his channel. I liked the guy he was funny as f*** so I wasn't picky on what videos I watched of his, it was at that point where my life had changed, this guy was educating me, informing me about what I'm actually putting in my body, how bad it is for me and how the food is actually produced, from that point on I started to make a change, I started a vegan lifestyle.

My vegan experience has been a bumpy road so far, I watched almost all of Durianriders videos and most of Freelees, it wasn't until I watched Earthlings that I truly grasped the scale and horror of what we were doing to the planet, I am ashamed that I was a part of it for such a long time. Then I read The China Study, my shame has now turned to anger, how is it that these bastards have known about these findings for so long and still we give our kids milk in school, continue to market low fat dairy and lean meat as health food, it's shocking.

Now I've been educated properly and eating vegan I feel enlightened and I will be forever thankful to that scruffy Aussie bloke on his bike. Thank you Durianrider

I am Vegan and enjoying it for slightly over a year.  Fresh fruits and veggies are plentiful but now I've located a good source for organic produce with free delivery.

My name is Cindy  and I have been an on and off vegan my whole life, due to the push back from my family and friends I was never committed to be 100%  vegan and would always go back to eating chicken and fish(never beef, turkey, lamb and pork though). Not a long time ago all of a sudden I started to have pelvic bleeding when playing sports or doing any kind of physical activities. My period became very heavy and painful. I was having a lot of really bad breakouts, I couldn't sleep, I was exhausted, my hair was thinning out, my weight for the first time in my life was going up, not much but I think only because of how active I am(I have been always skinny or sometimes underweight but not by choice, I just couldn't put on the weight). I went to the doctor  and told me I had a cyst on my left ovary and that I also had fibroids in my uterus wall. He immediately suggested I start taking birth control pills and if that didn’t work the next thing would be to try some kind of laser surgery to remove the cyst and fibroids and if that still didn’t work that I would need to get a hysterectomy. I remember he even tried pushing me to say that I was depressed so that he could give me antidepressants. That day I left the doctor’s office very scared and frustrated and I never went back, I knew I did not want to start taking pills and/or putting any kind of chemicals in my body. I knew that since I have always been very active, not overweight, never done any kind of drugs or alcohol that the problem was in the food I was consuming. My body was practically crying out for help so I started to think, what had I changed within the past couple of years for my body to start acting up? It did not take me long to realize that of course from all the trash that we get told constantly every day we eventually start believing it and doing what they say. Before I never really worried too much about consuming enough protein but of course the tv, radio and everybody started saying how much we need it in order for us to not lose our muscle mass and blah, blah, blah so I started to drink protein shakes after my workouts and eat more fish. I also remember one day receiving a call from my mother just to tell me that she had seen on TV that is very important to drink milk according to a new study. At that time I was not drinking milk or consuming any dairy(I just have never been a fan of it) but again I listened to my mother and my mother listened to the so called experts on TV and the media and I started to consume dairy. I did everything to try to purify and detoxify my body, I drank alkaline water, did the apple cider vinegar thing, bikram yoga, detoxifying wraps you name it, I did it all. Nothing worked I was still tired, having breakouts and still bleeding. I stumbled across freelee’s YouTube channel and it was like removing a blindfold from my eyes. I knew from the moment I saw her video that this was the way we are meant to live. I have been following the Rawtill4 lifestyle for a while now and I am happy to tell you that my body is back to normal. I have no more bleeding when exercising, my skin is slowly clearing out, although I never really gained that much weight but 7 pouds at the most I noticed my body fat percentage is going down and I am back at my normal 115-118 weight, my energy is back and best of all, the mass in my breast, the fibroids and the cyst are all gone, the doctor could not figure out what happened so he decided to name them systematic cyst, fibroids and mass (he is just so full of s….if you ask me…lol). This lifestyle has allowed me to be free of illness and full of energy again hence the urgent need that I felt to create my channel and page to spread the word.  I’m grateful for the things that I have learned from Freelee and I agree one hundred percent with her teachings.  Thank you very much!

I had renal failure in 2004. My whole body swole up with over 100lbs. of water weight over night. In 2012 I was diagnosed with diabetes. My glucose has been up at 180 daily regardless of healthy eating (conventional), and at first when I was diagnosed it would go up to 550. I tried many diets to approach a healthy lifestyle. Over a month ago (on 4/30/14), my doctor told me I needed to lose weight because I was 320lbs. 5'7" and 29yrs old. Over a month ago I came across "The Banana Girl", at first I thought she was a fake propaganda girl. So I began to watch her youtube videos and saw she was the opposite. As of 6/18/14 I am down 18lbs. with Raw Till 4 vegan lifestyle. My glucose in the morning is between 83-93. My blood pressure was 132/92 (4/30/14), now its 107/70 (6/17/14). I am amazed with this lifestlye, I like it and plan on remaining on it. Lastly I am trying to get back into bodybuilding, but as a vegan.

This is only after 4.5 months guys. So not very long but there are some results! I was a tiny bit chubby in midsection and arms, restricting for the  most part. My stomach and arms are tighter and more toned now. I am 5 ft 8 139 lbs now and working on going down to 130. I eat around 3000 calories per day and just started working out/exercising a month ago. I can now run 1.5 miles without stopping, just by being fueled on bananas. I don't run because I have to to lose weight, I do it solely because I am jumping off the walls with energy and health. I used to never ever dream of running, hardly had any energy and felt lethargic all the time. I did gain 5 pounds in the beginning but that is because I was starving myself before and my metabolism had to start fixing itself! The more I eat now, the leaner I feel and more energy I have!

Importance of sleep  and rest. Few month ago I started discussion on my husband high triglycerides level. Blood work was done when we'd been already into raw law fat for a couple of years. This came as a surprise since his cholesterol was good (before it was high). So he consulted dr.Graham whose advise was as simple as getting more sleep. Now he tries to get some naps when possible. Result  is triglycerides went back to almost normal level and doctor said it's not a concern anymore.

Just want to say thanks to Freelee, Durianrider Princess Neets and everyone on this site.

I'm battling PCOS, Fibromyalgia, weight issues (proper lard ass! 72kg 5'3), and infertility. Recently I've upped the raw massively and the carbs, Im currently eating waaaay more than usual.

I made lots of 'newbie 'mistakes with too many oils, nuts etc.. on the vegan thing, so was happy when I stumbled across this site. I found DR and FL after Dan, Matt and David (fakers)

I can now enjoy working out, after HATING it for years. My weight is going down fast, and I'm happier than ever.

I smashed out 1 hour on a treadmill this morning, and bloody loved it! Trust me that's not something I've ever said or felt!!

Got yoga tomorrow night, and an insanity class the day after. IM ON FIRE!

I've battled friends and family too who think you are all mad, and so am I.

However with the new light in my eyes (AKA ENERGY!) and kindness in my heart I am showing them by living as an example!

Namaste you beautiful people. :) x
