Comment by Stephanie McClennon on April 6, 2012 at 7:01pm i like juicing dandelion with celery, ginger, hot peppers, apples, lemon and lettuce, maybe kale or spinach or chard if i'm feeling really green (says the girl who enjoys dandelion juice. hah!), and arugula is also suuuper duper awesome, but it seems like most people on this site are super duper anti-juicing. i don't know if they've ever had good fresh green juice, or maybe they have and it just doesn't have the same awesome effect on them as it does on me. oh well :)
Comment by Ginger on March 28, 2012 at 3:24am Are there pictures and descriptions of edible weeds, plants, flowers etc. that people have and can share.
Comment by Zeba Santiaga on March 28, 2012 at 2:00am Yesterday my son, daughter and I were walking in a meadow. We found a pic-nic of smilax vine tips and spide wort flower buds. The kids love to pick them. My daughter likes the smilax. My son just picks them and gives them to me. I like to peel the leaves off of the spiderwort flower buds and break the stalk off at the base of the buds to get a tasty clump of young flower buds. These are great by themselves or in a salad.
Comment by mickster on March 27, 2012 at 5:35am Hello everybody. I have been eating some edibles in the mountains of Colorado for about 5 years now.
I have my son eating cactus and he thinks its great. I am hoping to replant some of the stuff to my yard thia year. The longer I search the more edible I find. Last year I felt like I hit the mother load. Found a whole side of a mountain filled with edible plants and berries I never noticed before. Hopefully as the years pass my yard will be full of them.
