Costco is mighty handy, though seldom organic, with some great prices, but I'd still be grateful to learn of additional offerings, especially local ones. How are you long-term Tucsonans staying well…Continue

Comment by Windlord on October 6, 2011 at 9:19am I like that idea, Oriana. Since you're the one who needs to be in top shape for the race, you wanna pick the time and place for the fruitluck? Put it on here with a few weeks notice as well as on the main events calendar page here (I can help if you like) and we should attract a nice crowd. Did you want to keep it to just fruities, or would you want to give a shout out to the larger veg squad in town too?
Teresa and Trysta, you may or may not be able to score the sprouts leftovers, but you should definately be able to get full case discounts, which are typically 10%.
Also have you checked out some of the local farmers markets:

Roadrunner Market is the longest running mkt in the state, going on at least 21 yrs now. I highly recommend Stella of Horney Toad Farms there.

Comment by Reese on September 29, 2011 at 3:11pm @ Trysta: I wonder if I've seen you before, because I shop at the same sprouts! Next time I go I'll be looking for someone else that is buying as many bananas as me. =)
Maybe we could talk to them and find out if we could get our hand the produce that they plan to throw out before they throw it.

Comment by Ignazio Palazzolo on September 17, 2011 at 8:15am Hello Everyone I'm new to 30bananasaday! I'm from Phoenix been raw for about an year now. Is anyone going to run the 20K Estrella Mountain on October 2, 2011. That run is in the preserves and looks fun to do. Also, I'm registered for PF Chang 1/2 Marathon. I would like to talk to like minds because this lifestyle is hard socially.
I basically getting most of my produce from Costco and Sprouts. Is there any good deals out here for good organic produce besides supermarkets that I'm used too.
Peace and Love!
