Also, today Sun Nov 13th 2011(every 2nd Sun of the month) @Blue Nile Cafe in Tempe 933 E University Dr, Tempe AZ 85281 The AZ Raw Food Group meet up at the Blue Nile Cafe @12:00 PM for raw lunch.

I personally have not been to any of these events, but I am a member now & thinking about attending these events & meeting other people living or just interested in raw food. I thought it would be nice to meet our Viva AZ Group from 30bananas there. If any of you are interested let me know. I know I really don't know any of you, but would feel more comfortable with you by my side. If any of you, have had experiences with these groups either good or bad, please tell us about it too. THX!

I haven't attended those groups either, but I'm very familiar with the concept of how they work.

Pros:

-you get to meet many people from a variety of walks of life, yet most all with some interest in improving their lives.

-a massive choice of inventive hopefully plant-based raw foodstuffs.

Cons:

-those foodstuffs will be primarily high fat, spice and salt laden combo-abombos.  It's up to you to decide what you're willing to eat.  If you want to experiment, that's your call.

If you want strict HCRV, better bring you own! :)

Neutral:

- the people, other than those who join you from here, are likely not following 811, though they may have heard of it, and might even be intrigued by it.  Your living example might be a huge plus for them to see.

In short, depending on your take on the food, the main attribute is the networking that goes on.  You're sure to meet and learn from many interesting peeps.

If you attend, please give us your feedback.

Thanks for the info Windlord. I will probably pass on the event. I just saw your post about the fruitluck you had. For some reason it didn't come through to my inbox. I'll have to keep my eyes peeled for the next group outing. I had no idea that you are part of the meetup group VEGphx. I'll do my best to meet up with you guys on the next AZ Viva get together.

Peace-

Sounds good.

You're not the only one to not receive the blast I sent out.

Sounds like Ning the Merciless is at it again!

All the more reason to keep in regular touch then, right? :)

If you're any ideas on a good indoorsy location for our next fruitathon, I'm all ears.
