Hi Arizonians! I'm going to be traveling to Phoenix in mid-October and I'm looking for some advice on what is in season. I like to keep it all raw. What seasonal fruits, veg, and greens should I look…Continue

Its just another Loving Hut, I think you guys have a few others on the east side of town. Food taste great, I think its an excellent transitional place for vegans and non-vegans to get together. Its Asian inspired, with GF, and SF options. One thing I love is that the takeout boxes are all recycled paper instead of styrafoam. Considering its the only vegan fast food place out here, I think its a nice option. They also just opened a huge Fry's over here that rivals any whole foods for organic vegan produce.

Added your famous quote.  Keep em coming, as changing it periodically will boost our group activity ;)

I always liked this quote

"Welcome to Arizona, where summer spends the winter - and hell spends the summer.

Contest time then, DR, or anyone else!

Let's see your best updated intro comment, and you might find it front and center welcoming people in.

I really hate the intro "Howdy and welcome to the hitchin' post for all things Arizona, prickly and heat-stricken though they may be."

First of all no one born in AZ speaks that way unless you are from some the ass end backwoods other part of the country. Secondly it sounds so corny, like someone is trying to sell you on a pony ride at the fair. I really wish someone would change it.

Thanks Windlord! :D I went back there today and got: a 40 pound case or organic zucchini for 7 bucks, a 50 pound case of cucumbers for $7, a 50 pound case of potatoes for $12 and a 40 pound case of oranges for $12. I'm all set for a while! lol

those are some super reasonable prices, Jayme.  Prescott's a nice town, been there many times.  Love your courthouse square.

Is anyone in Prescott or Prescott Valley? I found a great little Mexican market called Mayas Mercado on Robert Road that does cases at a good price! 5 bucks for a case of Ataulfo mangoes for about 20-22 of them. Also watermelons, peppers, cucumbers, lettuce etc. Oh and $12 for a case of bananas. I live in PV and none of the stores here will sell me a case so I was happy to find Mayas!
